The Sylvia Lake Campground is a primitive site, with plenty of excellent mountain-scapes over the sea and sky. There's also plenty of  gorgeous land for all of your hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding needs. Picnicking is also popular at this site, and a little known treat is stargazing. Conveniently located between Whitefish and Columbia Falls, Mountain View RV Park boasts beautiful views of Big Mountain, Teakettle and Columbia Mountains. The Lost Johnny Point Campground is located high in the Rocky Mountains and is one of the most picturesque campgrounds in this area. Visitors can look forward to excellent scenes, fresh air and long, challenging hiking trails. With an over 27,000 acre reservoir, campers can enjoy boating, swimming and fishing for cutthroat trout. Guests can also go canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding, so don't forget your water gear. Picnicking is also common at this park, but don't limit yourself to the picnic tables. Go out and explore; you're bound to find a great spot while you're out roaming the forest.

The Holland Lake Campground is located near the Holland Falls National Recreation Trail. At an elevation of over 4,500 feet, visitors can enjoy the mild weather, thick foliage and plenty of shade. There's also several excellent trails that take campers up and around some of the most beautiful spots of the Holland Falls area. Don't be shy! You don't have to limit yourself to hiking; get your mountain bike out of the garage and have a blast at these trails if you can. There's also plenty of fishing to be done at Holland Lake; there's a variety of trout and salmon and a wide lake surface that's perfect for canoeing, kayaking, swimming and boating.

The Silvertip Cabin is located only a short walk from the Spotted River, and at an elevation of over 4,400 feet, is a great site for all types of outdoor activities. The cabin is only available on weekends, but during those few days, guests can enjoy great hiking and horseback riding trails, hunting and wildlife viewing. There are elk, moose, deer and a plethora of small creatures hidden within the forestry, so stay alert and curious! With plenty of fresh air and wide open space for exploring, this is a popular site so book early!

The Ashley Lake North Campground is located along the sky blue waters of Ashley Lake and is an absolute treasure among visitors and locals alike. Take time at the waterside to fish for various types of trout or go water skiing or boating on the water during one of the area's many warm days. For those of you hoping for more relaxing activities, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and swimming are also common at Ashley Lake. There's also plenty of space in and around the campsite for hiking, mountain biking and just plain exploring, so make sure to keep your trip schedule loose so you can really get lost in the gorgeous lakeside forest.

 Owl Creek Cabin is a single room, rustic cabin that can house up to 4 people, and is located in Swan Valley at a 4,200 foot elevation. Look forward a gorgeous mix of conifers, lodgepole pines and fir filling the acres of wild lands surrounding the cabin, and wildlife viewing. Catch sights of moose, elk and deer while you hiking and bike the hills and trails and be sure to bring your winter gear for skiing and snow mobile fun during the colder months. Holland Lake is also relatively close by, so head down there for great trout fishing. 

The McGregor lake campground is located in the Kootenai National Forest and has been a mainstay for outdoor enthusiasts for decades. Campers can look forward to plenty of trout fishing, as well as tons of space on the water for activities like kayaking, canoeing, boating and paddle boarding. Not a huge fan of the water? Soak in the landscape through hiking the gorgeous trails of mountain biking the challenging trails. Picnicking is another favorite at this campground is if you're a fan of fun with friends around sandwiches and juices, this park's numerous picnic tables will make you super happy. Surrounded by thriving fir and pine trees, this campground provides campers with the perfect environment to have a relaxing and fun getaway.

The Star Meadows Guard Station Cabin is located in near Tally Lake. Campers can look forward to world-class trout fishing at the lake, boating, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. The area is thick with lush, thriving forestry, so visitors can also expect excellent hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, as well as plenty of fresh air. Hunting is also popular at this cabin, as is wildlife viewing and winter sports like sow shoeing, sledding and skiing. Just in front of the cabin is a small, grassy area, ideal for fun family events and group games, so bring your soccer and footballs for hours of group games!
