The Lees Ferry Campground is a perfect spot for exploring local sites and historical wonders unique to Arizona. Campers can look forward to the Paria un-maintained trail, as well as rafting the Colorado which is a popular activity in the area. The Meteor Crater and campground is at the world’s best preserved meteorite impact site. Located just minutes from Interstate 40 in Northern Arizona near Winslow, the crater is the breath-taking result of a collision between an asteroid traveling 26,000 miles per hour and planet Earth approximately 50,000 years ago. And as a result, the site sees hundreds of visitors each year.
