The Rio Grande Gorge and Ancient Indian Ruins are also pretty interesting sights. There's also plenty of nearby art galleries and shops for buying local crafts and souvenirs. Be sure to keep your eyes open as you hike and explore the area because there's quite a bit of wildlife in the area, especially hummingbirds!

Just a mile east of Eagle Nest Lake is the Weathers RV Park, a popular site because of it's close proximity to the lake.
