The Santee-Cooper Lakes are a top fishing and hunting destinations in the state. The Santee National Wildlife Refuge and Pine Island Unit National Wildlife Refuge are both just a few miles away.You will find world-class fishing here, including striped bass, white perch, white bass, crappie, channel catfish, Arkansas blue catfish, shellcrackers, bream and chain pickerel (jack).The state fishing record for largemouth bass was set here at Lake Marion.
