Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is an awesomely vast expanse of wilderness southern swamp covering approximately 700 square miles and located mostly in the southeast corner of Georgia, U.S.A. Four years ago, we began to plot a strategy to reclaim this land from kudzu, wild grapevines, rattlesnakes, coyotes, fire ants, and other encroaching snakes-in-the-grass.
