The Fossil Ridge Campground is located in the beautiful Texas town of Denison and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. The campground is at Eisenhower Park, and is known for its breathtaking natural terrain, hiking and ATV trails and modern marina. Campers can look forward to a number of offsite attractions such as the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site, Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Fairfield Lake State Park and the Waterloo Lake Regional Park. Among these sites, travelers can enjoy great sight seeing and outdoor fun like wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, boating, paddle boarding and kayaking. Grandpappy Point Marina, Grayson County Frontier Village and the Red River Railroad Museum are other camper favorites. The Dinosaur Valley Campground is located in the beautiful and cozy town of Glen Rose, Texas and is a great place for an authentic southern getaway. Just beyond the campground, campers can look forward to a number of excellent attractions such as the adjacent Dinosaur Valley State Park for hiking and historic and scenic viewing. The Big Rock's Park, Barnard Mills Museum, Somervell County Museum and the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Historic downtown Glen Rose, Squaw Valley Golf Course and the Creation Evidence Museum are also popular stops through the area, and many campers are sure to try the local bars and eateries for a true taste of the local flavor. "The Honey Hole" is located on Lake Ft. Phantom Hill, Abilene, Texas, just north of Interstate 20. The Honey Hole is a  great destination for just a day or two or even an extended stay. We have the only operating enclosed fishing dock in the Abilene area. We have recently upgraded the dock with new railings and decking. We have added professional-grade underwater fishing lights which allow for better visibility in the water and also as an amazing fish attractant.

The Fort Griffin State Historical site is located in the beautiful and cozy town of Albany, Texas and is a great place for a historical journey. Among the fort's ruins are a mess hall, barracks, first sergeant’s quarters, bakery, powder magazine, and hand-dug well that are all deeply tied to Texas history. The campgrounds, located on the banks of the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, provide visitors with an opportunity to relax under large shade trees, enjoy the playground, catch catfish in the river, or hike nature trails connected to the campground. Due to the vast ranches surrounding the property, Fort Griffin has minimal light pollution. The result is an astronomer’s oasis with great skies for viewing constellations, planets, and galaxies at Fort Griffin’s monthly stargazing events.
