The Sun Canyon L&C Campground is located in a lush, yet rugged area within the Lew and Clark National Forest, and is conveniently situated along the Gibson Reservoir. Visitors can look forward to excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking, with gorgeous sights over the water's surface at dusk and dawn. The campground is also popular for biking and hiking so be sure to pack well so you can truly explore the trails and unmarked territory of the forest. Halfway between the Glacier National Park and Yellowstone is the Deer lodge KOA. With Clark Fork River running right through it, campers can look forward to excellent fishing for brown trout. This KOA is located in the the gorgeous Montana city of Polson. The town is popular for its excellent local attractions, museums and historic sites, so make sure to carve out some time to visit Polson. Campers can look forward to the National Bison Range and Glacier National Park nearby where they can enjoy breathtaking mountain views, hiking and mountain biking. There's also a thriving ecosystem surrounding the campground, so visitors can expect to see not only tall, healthy fir and pine trees, but also elk, deer and moose. Most campers also take advantage of the neighboring Flathead Lake for touring, cruising and trout fishing, so be sure to set aside plenty of time for that. Local dining and entertainment is also excellent, so if you're hoping for a taste of local culture, visit the various restaurants and eateries around town. The campground itself also has great attractions like mini golf, a volleyball court and horseback riding paths for fun close to the campsite. You certainly won't be bored!
