Brushing up against the Wind River Reservation is Shoshoni, Wyoming. Shoshoni offers a mostly arid climate, but there are plenty of outdoor activities and things to do. Visitors going to Yellowstone during the summer bring a lot of tourists to the city. It is just a short drive to a state park and a reservoir. Boysen State Park is one of the largest state parks in Wyoming’s state park system. Located south of the Owl Creek Mountains, near the Wind River Canyon, the park provides great bird watching and hunting. Inside the park is the Boysen Reservoir, which offers a variety of water activities – swimming, fishing and boating. After a day hunting or boating, take a short drive to some of Shoshoni’s best RV Parks.

Shoshoni is within driving distance of the Shoshone National Forest, which bumps up against Yellowstone National Park. The forest is scenic and offers a variety of outdoor activities. There are plenty of hiking trails, and the mountains caps are covered in snow most of the year. Pristine lakes and streams provide the option for water activities.
