What an interesting campground experience! Paulette & Grizzly (the poodle) warmly welcomed us, and showed us to our spot. Electic & water was readily available, and we had a very quiet stay, enjoying the Wyoming sunset. Campfire rings were available, and dump station. Even had several AirBnB choices available. The horses, and donkeys were just across the fence waiting to get their ears scratched. Upon leaving, Paulette caught up to us, and had a memento for us to remember our stay. Great place, and great host.

The website describing the RV park is exactly what you get. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed the advantage of not being in an RV park right off the highway which most tend to be. We had good water and 50 amp power. While it's just a big dirt lot, the slot was level and very "homey" feeling. The price was nice too! Would stay there again!

This place is great, much more laid back than a lot of the other campgrounds we’ve visited. Glad we stopped here for a night on the way from Yellowstone to Mount Rushmore. Very kid and dog friendly.

This is basically a fairgrounds/rodeo site in a large gravel parking lot in a 1000 acre hayfield. They actually hold rodeo events here. It’s tolerable for one night. On the plus side, there was a decent flush toilet and a single shower. There was water and electric, as well. No sewer hookup. Maybe a dump station. There are about 10 sites but no visible site numbers. We had no on-site communication from the owner. Another camper shared that she had received a txt to park at any open site. Never saw the owner. On the plus side, the 360 view of the western sky was awesome. It’s a place to hole up for one night on the way to somewhere else.

Campground Response

I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience. We are usually here. We had to run to Utah to pick up our new camper. I do all of the driving, because my husband's health is very poor. I tried to communicate with everyone, but it's very difficult to text and drive (especially pulling the new 5th wheel camper). I noticed that some of my text messages did not go through to you (while driving in no cell service areas). We do not have events at our arena. We simply share our space with others. We have an RV dump available. Our new RV site numbers just arrived - our son designed them. They were on the porch, when we arrived home. Almost everyone enjoys our hospitality, our wide open spaces - most say they enjoy how quiet, save and private it is.

What a great spot. Very casual and not a typical campground, which is just fine for us! Hosts are so friendly and helpful. Lots of wildlife on the grounds for nature lovers and the scenery and dark skies are ideal for photographers.

We were going to Yellow Stone and stayed at the campsite for 2 nights. It is a quiet place. Very nice people there. It has very nice mountain view and the campsite is well organized. It has a lot of fun activities for kids to play too. We will go back there next year when we go to Teton and Yellowstone again.

Paulette was very friendly when I arrived, then I never heard from her again. She did not explain the area well so I had trouble finding the shower. Their ad said they would provide firewood, but none was delivered. I had brought my own, so when the wind died down I started my fire by still nothing was offered. I would not stay here again. The campground is on the ranch property and their was an odd assortment of friends and family running around.

Campground Response

I do feel bad that you felt neglected. I enjoyed meeting you and showing you around. Your reservation did not include paying for firewood. Had you paid for and reserved firewood, I would have provided you plenty of firewood. Had you simply contacted me and let me know that you needed firewood, I would have gladly brought you more than enough for a long lasting fire. We do have other campers (guests) and a few friends that come to help us or tend to their horses and I do not consider any of them odd.

We stopped for the night here on our way to the Grand Tetons. Jim and Paulette were great! Super friendly, Paulette came right out to greet us when we arrived. We loved being able to roam around the ranch. We woke up in the morning to horses walking behind our camper. We will stay again next time we are in the area.
