An hour northeast of Salt Lake City, just off I-80 W, Evanston, Wyoming is tucked amongst mountains and prairie that offers endless beauty and wonder. In addition to being close to the Great Salt Lake, Evanston is located near two national forests and a variety of Evanston RV Parks.

The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache forest is just south of Evanston. The park flows from Utah up into southern Wyoming, near Evanston. There are seven wilderness areas in the forest, including Mount Naomi and High Uintas Wilderness, among others. With 309,000 acres, there are plenty of options for hiking, mountain biking and watching wildlife. After a day outside, take the short drive back to one of Evanston’s RV Parks.

Making the trip to the Great Salt Lake is worth the hour drive. It is the largest salt lake in the world. The lake area is home to a variety of bird life, including brine shrimp, shorebirds and waterfowl. The lake provides a lot of options for bird watching, and it provides exceptional views. While in Salt Lake, there are a variety of entertainment options, as well as outdoor activities.
