Easily Book Campgrounds and RV Parks in Columbia, MO

About Columbia

Columbia RV parks and campgrounds are some of the best places to camp in Missouri — from Odessa to Boiling Springs and Quincy to Springfield — central Missouri is a crossroads for RVers, but also a destination itself.

The Missouri River runs past Columbia, and along its banks are numerous parks and wild designations to explore. To the north of town is Finger Lakes State Park, where adrenaline junkies are encouraged to bring their ATVs and motorbikes. South of Columbia are the Gans Creek Recreation Area, Three Creeks Conservation Area, and Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, where folks are welcome to explore the caves system, or well-maintained hike and bike trails for those who prefer avoiding damp, dark, closed in spaces. Hunters and fishers can head over to Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge, west of town.

If you’re close to downtown, Cosmo Park has golfing facilities, fishing, and hiking. Other solid options include Stephens Lake Park, Twin Lakes Recreation Area, and the Grindstone Nature Area.

If you’re looking for a good time in Columbia, head over to The Blue Note indie rock cathedral, or to the Missouri Theater, which is the University of Missouri’s key performance venue. The U of M also boasts the Mizzou Botanic Garden, where thousands of different plant species are pampered and on view for public enjoyment.
