"I was surprised with how clean and quiet this campground was! We stayed in one of the cabins during a gusty, cold night and were snug as bugs. The cabins come with beds, towels, Wifi and a space heater. Bathrooms and wash house was very clean and kept warm. Our dogs were welcome here too! The host was super nice also. We will definitely be back to stay as this is a great value for your money"

"If all you had to review was the campground owners , this park would get a five star! Central location so you can walk to town or ride bikes. Everyone we met in town were very nice and friendly! "We are fairly new RV owners, we were in Westcliffe for a bluegrass festival. The WMRV was perfect for what we needed. Easy to get in and out of, love having water,electric and sewer at our campsite. Nice reatrooms, picnic table, everything we needed and the owners are friendly and helpful. we will return!"

"My grandson and I tent camped at the park one night. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. As we were basically passing through we didn't take advantage of all they offered. There are a reasonable number of tent sites along the back. All had grass and a small shade tree. Most had a wooden spool which served as a table. Making camp in Westcliffe, CO bears the benefit of being close to natural and cultural attractions like Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, where the largest dunes in North America are not found seaside, but in the middle of the continent, surrounded by the similarly shaped Rocky Mountains. The park offers trails of differing length, including a half mile run to the top of one of the dunes: a challenging hike that is rewarded with incredible views from the summit of the dune. The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in Canon City is even closer to Westcliffe than the Dunes, and offer guests an amusement park next to one of the world’s tallest suspension bridges. Make a day of it and explore this breathtaking corner of Colorado via the bridge, an aerial gondola, the skycoaster, or zip line. If you’re not feeling that adventurous, there is plenty to do for those not amused by heights. The park also offers a theater, visitor center, and children’s playground.
