we usually have great experiences at this campsite but, on Friday evening a Rottweiler was roaming the campground. I called the campsite and they did nothing, just said it was probably a local dog and I should squirt it with a hose. We had to walk our dog so I took the Rottweiler down the road so my wife could walk our dog. I would have liked a better solution to the problem from the campsite.

This is a sweet little park on top of a hill that dead ends at the park. The text sent the day of our reservation with directions was critical since there is no street sign where you turn off across from “the mansion” (a critical and helpful landmark). Aside from a building (the “clubhouse”) with a bathroom and an open, but covered game area, there was an old abandoned school bus and one trailer other than ours the night we parked there. Outdoor lighting was nice and lots of gravel has been laid on the sites and approaches to them. The road leading up the hill is pretty steep toward the end culminating in the park and they had humorous signs about this. It was very quiet and felt safe. We would stay there again.

The owner made the stay super easy by communicating details of my reservation and answered any questions I had. The bath house facilities were very clean. I would recommend this campground to anyone!

It was quite the adventure getting into this place. We did experience low water pressure. It was quiet, so a good rest.

Loved the area - Once we found you! 😉 Wish you could put a sign by the road that you turn on, may make it a little easier to get to you. Loved your signs going up and out of your park. ♥️♥️♥️

Campground Response

I wish I could put up signs on the road as well! Unfortunately I don't own the land coming in there. However, we are working with ALDOT to hopefully get something soon. Thanks again for staying with us, and safe travels!

Made reservation on line. There were a couple of RV's in the park when we got there. Quiet night. Left in am. Never saw a person. Would be nice if they had some road signage to help get in and out of the area.

Campground Response

Hey Randall, thanks so much for staying with us! The roads leading up to our park are public and maintained by the city, so we don't have any rights to place signage on them or on the surrounding land we don't own. However, we do have a directional sign that points you toward the park, 3 signs coming up the hill to let you know you're going the right direction, a "Turkey Hill" sign at the entrance, plus signs with reflective numbers at the entrance to each site and on the electrical box. We also send very clear directions via text to make sure everyone knows where to go and how to get there. I'm sorry if that wasn't adequate for you.

Nice little campground. The hill is a bit steep, but not too bad. Got in and out with a 36 ft fifth wheel with no problems. Would stay here again, it super quiet.

Campground Response

Hey Stephen, thanks so much for the review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again soon! Safe travels!

In the area for a week for business. Park was clean & quiet, owner friendly & quick to respond if you had any questions. Facilities were good & rates reasonable but a laundry area would be a nice addition.

Campground Response

Thanks Amy, it was great having you stay with us! And yes, a laundry area is definitely in the plans. We expect it to be up and running in the next few months.
