The Thousand Trails campground is located at Medina Lake in Lakehills, Texas and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite, campers can look forward to breathtaking views over the water, wildlife watching, fishing and other water sports. Just beyond the campground, travelers can look forward to attractions like the Bandera County Medina Lake Park, the famous 4 Way Bar & Grill and Big City Street Bistro. Many campers also head to Medina Lake for a day and visit the Cherokees Oldies Antiques & Hangout. There's also several nearby cities that are perfect for day trips, Austin being the most popular among them. In Austin, visitors can look forward to world-class dining and craft foods, a rich TexMex culture seen through its production industry and thriving art scene, and plenty of green spaces. The Green Belt, The Zilker Botanical Gardens and Mt. Bonnell are well-known outdoor treasures, and for the urban adventurers, the city's historic 6th street offers a strong mix of antique architecture and modernity. There's truly something for everyone near this campground. Amenities at the park include: fully-equipped cabin hookups, WIFI, water, pool access, sewerage, electrical hookups and a basketball court.

Nightmare. First time RV owner with first time RV park. Reservation made. Drove 7 hours here. False advertising. Everything in disrepair and closed activity center, closed activity center, closed restaurant (not just seasonal). Check-in misinformation with lack of notice on red box hookups where electric not working. At least 50% sites closed due to red boxes or signage sayong closed. Think Easter egg hunt for a site pulling a 35 foot RV but only a few full hookups and very few 50amp sites. Most are 30amp and no sewage. Wow! Dump station okay. No reserved sites. Mudholes galore. Few working sites without a red box but cant park there because it is an annual rented site; who knew! Beautiful lake but after the nightmare of finding a site we will never return.
