Enjoyed our days here. Close to the Riverwalk bike trail so we rode downtown one day and to the Spanish Missions the next. Owners live onsite and the campground is gated. They are helpful and provide visitor information upon arrival. When I needed assistance to complete my hookup the last day, help was immediate.

Great time here. It’s not fancy. But quiet, and adequate. Owners were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed taking walks in the area and just taking the bus into San Antonio or to any of the missions or other places of interest.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this RV park. Gabby and Clemente were very accommodating. Great location for people not familiar to San Antonio. I enjoyed the peaceful setting. We will definitely visit again.

What a great find. Close enough to San Antonio to get there easily, but secluded and private with only “5” spaces. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

If you want to feel like you are away from it all, just enjoying nature outside your camper, this is the place to go. You actually have very easy access to I-410 and downtown San Antonio. You can sightsee anytime and return to your camper in a natural setting. Gabby and her husband are extremely friendly, helpful and take security of the campground seriously, so you don’t need to worry while you are away. No Wi-Fi, but cell service is plenty for directions or looking anything up you need. Very few campsites add to the appeal, but they fill up fast! I would definitely return if ever in the area again.

Very quiet, secure small campground. The hosts communicated really well pre-stay and were there to great us when we arrived. Very close to the last mission (Espada) and the river walk. You can ride a bike, walk or catch the bus service. Definitely recommend and will return here if we are ever back in the area.

My husband, I and our two girls 15 and 13 enjoyed our time in this park. It was quiet and beautiful. There are not a lot of spaces but it was a wonderful place to stay. The owners were super helpful about places to go and were very sweet people. We would love to come back again!!

Very nice, quiet campground just a few minute bike ride from Mission Espada and the San Antonio Riverwalk. If you enjoy biking this is the place to stay. Just 10 mile beautiful ride up the Riverwalk into San Antonio and to the Alamo. Well maintained campground behind their residence. Very clean and well maintained. We felt like we were staying at a friends place.

Chris Sparks

The owners are great people and very nice. The parks is very clean and secure. About 15 minutes from the Alamodome made our stay convenient and was able to stay in a quiet place.

Very nice non-commercialized spot to relax and enjoy your stay. A beautiful park like private property with very accommodating owners behind a locked gate. Gabby and Clemente keep it immaculate and there are picnic tables, a covered fire container and plenty of wandering space for your leashed pets. It's close to some missions and only a few minutes to Military Drive where there is everything you need. It's a very quiet place, close to everything or a place to relax and just enjoy the peace and nature. There are only 5 RV spots so there's not the hustle and bustle of large parks. We really enjoyed our stay at Yanawana. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great spot in San Antonio. There are only 5 spots in this little campground. It is situated far from the road and private. Gabby and Clemente were great hosts and they have made the most of the property with the landscaping. The birds were everywhere in the morning. Lots of hummingbirds! We would definitely stay here again.

This small quaint campground was awesome! Clean and peaceful. Nice dog walk area too. Very nice people to stay with!

If you are looking for a campground in south San Antonio I give Yanawana Camp my highest marks. I'm walking distance from the San Antonio River and trail/walk and just a few quick miles from the Mitchell Lake Audubon Center and great bird and wildlife watching, photography and hiking. Great and authentic food is on the way to the center at Judy's and others. If you're here for nature and quiet you'll love this little Camp (5 full hookups). The owners are the icing on the cake here, Clemente and Gabriela Guzman are lovers of nature (you'll notice native plantings in progress) and the nicest people you will ever meet. Their plan is to make this a special place for connecting with nature and their love and respect for the land will result in more and more native plantings. As it is, the property is bounded by undeveloped lands and a wooded boundary with common paraques, red-shouldered hawks, hummingbirds, yellow-billed cuckoo, northern mocking birds and much more. The coyotes commonly serenade campers here too. Kids would have a great time with all the butterflies and spiny lizards and anoles on site. The camp is CLEAN, the caretaker and his family live on sight for security and are very friendly, and their dog Daisy takes her guard duties seriously. Despite her gruff exterior, Daisy and I became fast friends and I can hardly bear to leave. You won't think you are at a camp ground from the front of the property but behind the caretaker's residence is a different story. From hand-painted site signs named for local critters (Clemente is a wildlife artist who paints among other things, many of the wildlife license plates for Texas!), clean, well kept grounds with new plantings going in, level, nice sites and no commotion, Yanawana Camp has it going on. There are no bathrooms or other facilities here. Site 1 and 5 are quite shaded, all sites receive late afternoon shade. There is plenty of nice picnic tables in shady spots too. Very dog friendly but Daisy gets a little jealous. She is kept out of the way however so no worries (she's little and sweet too). Pick up after your pets please, keep this place as great as you found it so we can keep bringing dogs! I could go on...
