The Sunset Cove Marina is located in the beautiful town of Corsicana, Texas and is a great spot for an authentic outdoor adventure. Campers can look forward to a number of activities along the Richland Chambers Lake; travelers can enjoy excellent fishing and boating, as well as sunset and scenic viewing along the lake. There's  pecan trees to provide shade for shore-side picnicking and swimming, and there's also plenty of space on the water for kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing. Now open is our café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Just beyond the campground is a number of other attractions including: Pioneer Village, the Pearce Museum, Angelita Vineyard and Winery, Navarro Mills Lake, Canterbury Court Antiques, Corsicana Field Aviation Heritage Foundation Museum and fishing charters and tours. The area is also filled with excellent historic sites and great, local eateries. Amenities at the park include: 22 full RV hook-ups,  Cafe, Bait/Supply store, summer water attraction, water craft rentals, laundry facilities and 3 lane boat ramp. Hope to see you soon!

We were in the water front site and the views were beautiful. Easy access to fishing, restaurants, bars , grocery, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Only reason 5 stars wasn’t given was dump station had no water supply.

Campground Response

Thank you, Pamela, for your kind review. I'm sorry you weren't able to use the water supply at our dump station, I will definitely be more proactive in the future to show customers how that works. Thank you again, and we look forward to welcoming you back.

We had a lake view and the vie was wonderful. We were visiting Thanksgiving 2023. We had trouble leveling our Motorhome. The owner was very helpful in helping us. This was our second park after purchasing our Motorhome so we were newbies.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Beverly, we look forward to welcoming you back should you be in the area again!

Went once and wont go back. The place is mostly for residents and only 3 spots to rent that are packed tightly togther. So close in fact we could not open our canopy or even put our cornhole games out. All on gravel so no grass for pets and you are constantly surrounded by the full-timers. We drove in Friday afternoon and half a dozen employees stood under the shade tree and stared at us for about 3 hours while we unloaded. The next morning we woke up to about a dozen people fishing 10 feet from our camper. no place for us to fish even if we wanted to and just a few feet from where we are sleeping. The people next to us had a great view of the storage shed. daily admit fee is $7 so there is absolutlely no privacy. Will look for a place on the other side of the lake next time.

Campground Response

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay at our Sunset Cove Marina and RV Resort. Here we have over 30 spaces which we offer for nightly, weekly, and monthly rates. Not all sites are equal in that some are closer to the water, some afford more shade, others have an amazing view. None of our sites are permanent sites, but rather we rent them seasonally based on a permit agreement signed with us on check in. My recommendation to folks wanting to stay with us is to book your reservations far in advance in order to get the best site that will accommodate your needs. For example, some people want to be right next to the fishing docks and our exclusive 80 ft boating ramp for the convenience of getting out on the water at whatever time to do their fishing! This isn't the same space that someone wants if they are visiting just to enjoy the breathtaking sunsets with their families each evening. To get the perfect space, please call us in advance on your dates, and we will do our best to match you up with the best space that you want. We have maps and real time photos we can send to make sure you get the best of what you want. If we have the availability on the site you like, its yours once you reserve. Kayak rentals, great fishing, a swimming beach, savory meals at our Sunset Grill, and hospitality with that special touch is what makes our business number one on this lake!

Not really a rv resort, just a gravel lot and a boat house...we went on to Amarillo.

Friendly staff upon arrival. We walked to inspect spot #1 for levelness before backing in. Slopes from left to right at least 2 inches and front to back about 8 inches, so it was not level. That just makes setting up a bit of a hassle but we did. The spot was on the water and once we opened the windows the view was very nice. You are backed up to a pier and there are people fishing there all of the time. They were all nice to us but if you seek privacy this might be a turn off. Sunsets are gorgeous here and we enjoyed each one as we had great outside temps for March. The entire RV Parks appearance is below average and it can use some TLC. And the dump station runs opposite of traffic so we hauled our waste to the next place. But we visited many other parks and did not find anything better so when we come back this is where we'll stay. Sometimes a friendly greeting and a decent place to park your rig is enough. That is the case here.

Campground Response

Terry, thank you for your candid review. We'll work on the level over there as soon as possible. We definitely enjoyed having you here, and look forward to you next visit!

This place is basically a trailer park. Almost all spots are filled with permanent tenants. At night it’s nothing but a big party. This is not the place for a family camping experience. The campsites are all gravel. There’s no shade, no fire pits or cooking grills. The only thing enjoyable was a nice swim area.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your visit and enjoyed meeting you. Unfortunately for some, our quiet campground next to the lake transforms during the summer holidays and folks tend to come here to have a good time. We do our best to temper the situation with 10PM quiet times, and visitor check-in policies. As far as our long term guests, people come here and like it so much, they never wanna leave. But, there are no permanent spaces available, leases are limited to eight months. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back during a time when we have a nice shady spot available and I'll bring you a fire pit to enjoy!

Nice campground. Our spot was L1 and was right on the lake and the sounds were relaxing. We were 10 feet from the fishing area and swim area. The area was rocky and not level but quiet. Will return when we our in the area and would consider retiring to this area. Also seeing Zebras, Camels and Elk on the way to the campsite was cool. A heads up if you are in L1,2, or 3 there is no sewer hookup but dump station is not far away

Campground Response

Thank you for your review, Neil. The exotic animals along the road to here was a nice surprise for me as well when I first arrived here. We are looking forward to welcoming you back!

We did catch 2 fish but that was it. It was pretty busy and crowed on the docks. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Campground Response

Got assigned L1, the number one spot. Right on the water with views all the way across. Would give this place a 5 if they added sewer lines to the three water front spots.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review Stan! We appreciate your feedback on adding sewer lines to those sites. Unfortunately, due to their close proximity to the lake, we are not permitted to put in septic lines there. Thank you for your visit, and we look forward to seeing you again!

Nice, clean, smallish place with a good store and cafe staffed by super-nice people. 3 lakeside spaces are right by fishing pier which was really busy with a lot of crappie finding new homes. Pretty sunsets.

Campground Response

Thank you, Rhett, for your review of our campground. We enjoyed having you here and look forward to one day welcoming you back!
