Overview
Shady Oaks Riverside TV Retreat is located at Buchanan Dam and is a great place for an outdoor vacation. The dam is one of the few lakes that has sandy beaches and a sandy bottom for great swimming, and that's why thousands flock there year after year to vacation. Campers can look forward to hours spent lounging on the shores, jet skiing, swimming, and boating, or enjoy a number of great attractions just beyond the campground. Just a short drive away are sites like the Black Rock Park, Longhorn Caverns State Park, Vanishing Texas River tours and the Inks Lake State Park. Travelers can also enjoy the nearby Reveille peak Ranch, Sweet Berry Farm as well as a plethora of great, local eateries for meals after long days by the water. There's also a number of urban activities in the area, such as golf courses, art galleries, wineries and local event and festivals. Amenities at the park include: showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, boat ramp, 50 amp sites, recreation room, water, pull thrus and fish cleaning stations. Hope to see you soon!

Rules
Pet Policy
Pets are allowed (maximum of 2 pets per RV site), however dogs that are aggressive or hostile will not be permitted in the park. Pets must be leashed at all times when they are outside your RV and waste must be properly disposed of. Pets may not be left unattended outside your RV. Uncontrolled, excessive barking (inside or outside your RV) is not allowed. Pet owners who do not comply with our pet policies will be asked to leave the campground.
RV Type Restrictions
RV's must be no more than 10 years old. No pop-ups, conversion vans, pickup campers, or stock trailers allowed.
Boat Policy
Small boats, kayaks, and canoes may launch from our dock. No jet-skis or large boats.
Campfire Rules
Fire pits must be above the ground and must be covered by a grate. Ashes must be disposed of in our dumpsters.
Parking Policy
Vehicles must be parked on your site or designated areas only. Vehicles may not be parked in vacant sites or roads.
Alcohol Policy
You may consume alcohol on your site only. No open containers inside of park property. Public intoxication will result in immediate ejection.
No-Tents Allowed
Swimming Rules
Swimming in the river is allowed but there is no lifeguard on duty. Children must be supervised at all times.

Check out by 2pm on the day of departure
Check-In
Check in anytime from 9am to dark. No RV's parked after dark.
