We were very disappointed with this place. It was very run down with a lot of permanent trailers. Also the sites were very small and hard to access. The only good part was access to the river.

$10.00 ea. For teacup size dogs per day is too much.

Stayed in the camp area for the night for a kayaking trip on the Cowlitz.. Owner, Miriam is an excellent host! Very conscientious about her camp ground, guests and concerned about our safety on the water. Will plan another kayak trip and stay ;)

Nice place. Nice owners. Pretty noisy by the interstate. Firewood was wet. Only 1 men's shower was working. Beautiful spot by the river.

So close to the highway with a loud bridge. Our "view" was of the maintenance closet and the over- flowing trash pile. Full time residents with old rigs. No black water dumping. No cement pads for parking, just packed dirt. Would not stay there again.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. for the convinces of our traveler park is off 1-5 - traffic noise is non existing in side the RV- all RV are facing the River not the maintenance closet . Not all guest can afford 2023 rigs . Like your was not a new 2023 nether. correct the park is Gary water only, no dumping, grasses pads, affordable rates

Convenient off the highway and next to the river campground. Area is clean with ample space between sites. Best part was the welcoming Host Miriam. Our band was playing Toledo Cheese days and remained overnight at the camp. Miriam was so helpful and pleasant to assure we all had our spaces near each other. The park is next to and has assess to the Cowlitz River so great water fun too. I would camp there again😎🎶

Campground Response

Thank you for you kind review It was a pleasure to have the band here, hope to see you on the next event.

The river is beautiful. Sites are small and close. Park is clean. Did not use the shower or restroom so no review. Weird check in. Overall quiet except that you are right next to the highway and the bridge over the river which is very noisy. Host called us out for exceeding the 5 mph speed limit, which we were not exceeding. Uncomfortable.

It was raining and cold so we didn't do a lot of exploring but the property is right by the Cowlitz River which was great. The owners were very accommodating.

We had a great time at this campground. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the owners we very nice and took us to our site. The view was great! We had a beautiful view of the Cowlitz river. If freeway noise bothers you, this is located right off the 5 freeway. Me, it lulls me to sleep and wasn't an issue at all. It was agrear jumping off point for Mount St. Helens and Mt Rainer.

Nice spot by the river, basic restroom with a shower (no locks on the doors) next to the highway 5 - very noisy.

Love this place. This was our first visit and we’ve already booked another one. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was that the trash/recycle area was overflowing.
