Quiet park, off beaten path. Owner, John, very aimable and helpful. Sent welcome text on day of arrival, site no. and wifi password. Sites packed gravel, level. Good OTA tv and wifi. Many workers, full time but very quiet. Low rates for washer and drier. Did not use restrooms. Small local town of George West, so plan food and restaurants. No need for us. Would stay again

This rv park is an unexpected surprise. We were looking for a quiet place to spend nine days away from the crowds. John (the owner) was always available to address any questions or concerns. Thanks John when we're in your area we will definitely book with you again.

Great little park in the Three Rivers/George West area. Mostly long term residents, but the sites are neatly kept and uncluttered. A few pull through FHU sites available for overnight stays. Laundry room, but no showers/bathrooms that I saw. About two miles off Hwy 281 in a quiet area close to the Nueces River. Friendly owner. I will stay here again when in the area.

We stayed 2 weeks and decided to extend an extra month. Not a fancy camp but the people here are really nice. John, the owner, is great to work with and helps any way he can. Access to the river is a bit steep. There is a landing to fish from. Communal fire ring and wood is provided. No table or fire ring at the sites. Sites are gravel. We would stay here again.

Campground Response

Hello Raymond & thanks for the nice review! We have enjoyed having y'all stay with us! We think the people here are really nice too. Hopefully this summer, I can work on the walkway to the pier on the river. I plan on grading it out a bit & putting some steps down to the water.

Stayed overnight on 12/29/21. What a lovely surprise this little RV Park was. Very small, which gave it an intimate feel. Well kept grounds and friendly owner who met us when we arrived and walked over in the morning to tell us goodbye. There is a bit of confusion as to check in procedures. You actually just choose your own spot and pull in. Those closest to river are back ins, but we chose a pull through since we were just staying overnight. Some spots had trees which made for nice shade, but our 39’ fifth wheel was too high, and we didn’t want to incur roof damage. Just across the street is a small airport, but not much activity. Although the park is easily accessible from the main highway, it’s far enough away that it’s very quiet. Internet worked fine with a little buffering now and then if you were streaming but no problem for other uses. No cable. Folks staying in the park were very friendly. I think most were long term campers, but you don’t see the junk around the campsites that you usually see with long termers. Felt very safe. John, the owner, told us they were catching bass in the river, but we didn’t get to do any fishing. Would love to come back when we can stay longer.

Campground Response

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the nice review! Hope to see y'all soon.

Had a nice relaxing Labor Day holiday here. The park is first rate all the hook ups worked great with no interruptions. The fishing was great caught a couple of really nice catfish. John the owner was right there if we needed anything. Could not ask for a nicer spot. We will be returning. Thanks John

My sons and I stayed there this last weekend for a late Father's Day. It is a clean well cared for place. Quiet and homey. The long term campers were polite and very clean. The access to the river was good and we enjoyed the pier! Beautiful huge trees. Good roads and pads and the sites are larger than normal. We will go back for sure.

Campground Response

Hey Thomas, we really are happy that you enjoyed yourselves for a Father's Day celebration! We take pride in our park and appreciate you pointing out the things you noticed. We would love to have you and your sons back at the park any time. Cheers!

It is so peaceful being on the Nueces River with the big, beautiful oak tress! We had stayed in the other parks on 281 but they were so loud with the trucks going by all night. This beautiful park is about 1 mile from the highway & you can't hear the traffic. We actually went down to their dock on the river & caught several fish! It was so much fun & very relaxing. When we are back in the area for work we will definitely be staying here again! We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground Response

Good Afternoon! Thank you for the kind words! We agree that this is the only place to stay in the area, on the river where it's peaceful, quiet and shady. :-) We pride ourselves on our fishing and so happy that you caught a few! We welcome you back anytime with open arms!
