I love this place we live in Lafayette indiana and indiana has many beautiful campgrounds. I personally feel driving 4 hrs away to Rittenhouse is worth it. My husband and grand kids can't wait to go back camping there the owners are the best will go out of their way to talk to you and make you feel welcome. Nick is a helper there and also goes out of his way to make your stay a nice one. Been there a few times and will be returning. I have not found one here in Indiana that compares to the Rittenhouse Resort.

Awful place to camp!! Drinking, drugs, fights and irresponsible owners. The “swimming” pond has an excessive amount of chemicals. The “swimming” area is not monitored allowing anyone to do as they please. I suggest keeping your children away. Seasonal campers beware. The “guidelines” provided only apply to individuals that the owners do not like. Kids roam freely on golf carts. Music can be played loudly all hours of the night. Electric is triple the kilowatt. Alcohol is being sold on the property with owner well aware. If you like to “party” and don’t mind your kids viewing illegal activities…. This your place! The owners dog roams freely antagonizing, barking, humping and pissing on anything you own. The dog is a nuisance. Rule “all dogs are leashed”. Camp ground owner is excluded and will tell you it’s his property… ignorance and arrogance create irresponsible business owners.

Have been here several times with my family. We have rented a cabin and came several times for daily swimming. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Snacks are reasonably priced as well. The beach area is well kept. I have recommended this site to other people and have received positive feedback from their experience as well. We will definitely be coming back again.

a day ago on Google Let me tell you about the last and final time I'll ever set foot in this place. Money hungry, rude, and petty best describes owner(s). We stayed a few months last season and had a few issues regarding their dog and they had an Issue with me throwing a small anniversary party for my parents. Only other seasons campers attended (less than 15 people)so no covid restrictions were broken. Even though the following weekend they held a chili cook-off which I'm sure broke every covid restriction. As well as that same night their was a birthday party a few sites away and we counted 15 cars leaving the campground at 2am. But we were treated like trash just for trying to throw a small party. The playground is trash. The bathrooms are absolutely horrible. If you can find a shower or toilet that works right and they might even give you toilet paper. They have no entertainment or activities unless it benefits the owners pockets. You pay $1500 for a site that will kinda fit your camper but it'll probably be mud when it rains. Your dogs must be leashed but the owners dog runs wherever he likes and pisses on everything you own. And he'll likely poop so you'll also need to clean that up. You mow your own site so you have to tow a mower out as well. The owner will get drunk and he will act out. If your dog growls at his for being on your campsite he'll hit your dog. I know this for a fact. And if you get in the way he'll hit you too. I have 15 witnesses including a few children who watched the whole mess. Then he'll tell you he doesn't want to discuss it. The next evening he offered up a very unapologetic apology. We got our camper out a few days later. Never never again. Because of the nasty mud pit that was our site we had to hire a tow company to help us get the camper out. Watch your wallet, watch your kids and keep a close eye on your animals. He said he doesn't allow pits and rots on the property but you wouldn't believe how many are there. We have a Boxer. Oh and if he sees your review he gets mad and calls you a bitch for telling the truth.
