Excellent….as always. This campground is like a little piece of heaven. We always enjoy our stay.

Steven Seybold

It was a great campground very nice and quiet. Although it wasn’t a huge issue it would be nice to have full hookup sites.

Stanley Peterson

Campground employees are very helpful and courteous. The site we had was large and grass covered so it made for a very enjoyable experience. The only negative I would say was the amount of leveling needed for our trailer, although we may have been able to move the trailer around on the site until it was a little better. Nonetheless, we had a great time and found the campground to be quite nice. We are hoping to stay here one more time this season.

Shannon Ross

Back 40 Campground was wonderful! The owners were very welcoming and kind. The grounds were very clean! Lots to, swimming (both humans & dogs), dog park, volleyball, gaga ball, trails to walk. They are located very close to other attractions as well...Ohio Caverns, Piatt Castle, Highest Point in Ohio, First Concrete Road. I would highly recommend staying. I know we will definitely be back!!

Faron Luce

This campground is absolutely wonderful. The owners are genuinely salt of the Earth people who were extreme helpful and accommodating for our entire stay. All of the sites are clean and well taken care of, and the shower houses and bathrooms are very clean and updated. Would 100% stay here again!

Eric Koogler

From check in to check out we really enjoyed our stay. Owners were very nice and welcoming. Went out of the way to make sure we got settled in. Our site had hookups on the opposite side and of course My cord came up short. They had an extension I was able to use for our stay. I was afraid my slide was going to push out into a tree and they offered to trim it if needed. By the time we got backed in it was not needed. Facilities and grounds are well kept. As they mention on the site, if you’re looking to party, this is not the place for you but if you want a nice quiet relaxing time book! We will definitely be back to camp here some more.

Amy Crow

Sits back a nice shady lane. The campgrou nd is spacious and clean. The permanent campers are super friendly and will make you feel so welcome. Great playground...gaga pit...bball court... swimming and fishing. The owners are awesome!

Erin Elliott

Large sites, quiet, great hospitality!

Steven Wade

The Back 40 has the perfect family camping experience set up. Lush green lawns, trees, ponds for swimming and for fishing, walk and bike paths and golf cart paths. They have a huge playground and dog park. Everything is set up with lots of open spaces. It is well off the road, as the name suggests, thus the loudest sound is the frogs in the pond or the kids playing. You can truly feel like you “getting away from it all.”

Angie Haake

Very nice facility and people. The owners are helpful, accessible, and friendly. The grounds are well-kept and laid out nicely. We look forward to returning.

Clean and quiet. Recommend highly!

Abby Devore

This was our 3rd time at Back40. Beautiful, peaceful and family friendly! Sad the season is ending but looking forward to many camping trips next year!

Gary Strasser

Well maintained park, owners and permanent campers make you feel welcome. Restrooms well maintained. Would return

Emily Shreve

Our weekend at Back 40 was FANTASTIC! The owners were welcoming and so kind to our boys when they visited the office. The slip and slide was an expected chance to have fun and our Joy's loved it! We will be back year after year!

Donna Duncan

Very quiet and clean campground. Prices were good. Owners were very nice and helpful! Lots of activities for kids. Only thing was only having one restroom area at the opposite end of the campground since it’s not full hookup. One additional set of even just some toilets at the other end of the campground would’ve been nice. Very nice campground though!

Aaron Singleton

Owners were very nice and helpful. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Swimming pond was great. Rv sites were big and private. Will definitely be back again

Pamela Mangen

The campground is very clean and pretty. Campsites are spread out and it was so peaceful there. Campers and staff were friendly. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t for the electrical issue. We barely pulled enough power. They are aware of the issue and plan to work on it. Once that is fixed I can’t wait to go back!

Chris White

Owners make the experience very nice. The site is well maintained
