Palace Campgrounds

We stayed here in a Class A motorhome. The check in staff was friendly and helpful. The park offers FHU, or electric and water only, or non-hookup sites. The park roads are 50% paved. All sites are on gravel or soil, but are level. No concrete pad or patio. Our site included a very weathered picnic table. The sites are small, most are not pull thru. There are perhaps 6 pull thru sites. The park is about 50% shaded, and the grass was neatly cut and trimmed, which was good to see since ticks can be a problem. The public restrooms and showers were clean and modern. The swimming pool was nice. There's a game room and mini-golf that are nice also. Probably the best feature of this park is that it's about one mile away from the historic and shopping district of the city. The entire RV park is surrounded by trees. It makes you forget that it's located in the city. You almost don't see that there's a Walmart, and Culver's within walking distance right next door. I was disappointed that the park provided WiFi signal did not reach our RV. We were located in the middle of the FHU area. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
