Just beyond the campground is a number of excellent attractions such as the Cedar Hill State Park which is a natural oasis of thriving flora, fauna and scenic views. There's also the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Grand Prairie, New Texas Giant roller coaster and the Runaway Mine Train. The area is also dozens of parks and several lakes; Joe Pool is a popular treasure for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. And of course, travelers can look forward to a host of great local eateries. Amenities at the park include: water, 30 amp, some sewer sites, concrete pads, fire rings, restrooms/showers, group sites, cabins, boat ramp/dock, picnic pavilions, volleyball, playground, hiking & paddling trails, canoe/kayak rentals. Hope to see you soon!

This is a beautiful campground. It’s the perfect spot to venture out to and I would have to say the weather is great here most of the year. The river is just perfect for parch and other small fish. It also reminds me of the campgrounds when I was growing up - just pure nature and not a lot of man-made buildings. I don’t think we got tired of perusing the campground as the view was just breathtaking and there was just so much to see (and do). Lots of activities are always best when camping and this spot if one of the perfect stops. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
