This is a super nice campground at the foot of Center Hill Dam, directly on Caney Fork River. The sites are extremely large (width and length) and are great for wheelchair users as they are made of small crushed gravel that is very hard packed. The interior roads are asphalt and fairly level for the most part (one or two gradual hills but my husband could handle those by himself in his manual chair). There's not much to do at this campgrounds as far as amenities go....just a small playground, bathhouse, community firepit and boat ramp, but you won't get bored if you like to fish, hike or kayak. I don't recall how the bathhouse was as we used the bathroom in the camper the whole time. Beautiful location if you are a photography nut like I am. The only downfall is the state is working on the dam right now around the clock so it can get fairly noisy occassionally. But once the dam is completed this will definitely be a diamond in the rough type of campground. It's off the beaten path but it's such a beautiful drive getting to it that we didn't mind the distance from the interstate. Water and Electric hook ups only but there is a dump station at the exit of the campground. Be sure to check out a map before making reservations because the two or three sites by the dump station do get blocekd in when people are dumping when they leave...it's not a good set up for those few sites. Reservations can be made and you can reserve specific sites. The sites on the water are gorgeous but hard to get, especially in the fall. WiFi is non existent for AT&T but my parents were able to get one bar on Bluegrass Cellular for emergency calls. Overall, I would give this campground a 9 out of 10 stars. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
