Rick Curtis

The place was quiet. For the size of the cabin and the beds being horribly uncomfortable, I felt that it was overpriced. The beds are so uncomfortable that I would have slept in the floor if I could have found the extra blankets that was supposed to be in the cabin. The dishes that were provided were dirty. The bowls had pet hair in them, and the skillet looked to be rinsed and put away. Other than those things, the rest of the cabin was fairly clean.

Campground Response

Rick, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are very sorry to hear that the bed was not to your liking in our small cabin and that some of the dishes were not clean. We regularly receive high marks for cleanliness, it is regrettable that this time we did not completely earn those from you. As we communicated upon booking and in your check in document, we are always happy to help answer any questions, accommodate requests or rectify any issues that may arise, however, we are unable to do so if we are not made aware of these things during the stay. We hope you'll come visit us again in the future and give us another opportunity to serve you. Thank you for your business.

Beautiful peaceful property tucked away, yet close to shopping and restaurants! I was there for 7 months. I watched the beans grow. Leaves bud out and turn to gold. I saw wildlife everyday and made lifetime friends. I kinda wished there was a pool or hot tub but I was close to lake swimming spots and my dog loved the farm pond and the geese! It's also a great place for a big get together as their cabins are pretty cool! It's only 20 min to downtown Nashville and an hour from a half dozen waterfalls and the jack Daniels distillery...the owners are great folks too.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, Sara! It was a pleasure having you with us at the farm for an extended stay. We hope you’ll come visit us again soon. Thank you for your business!

Such a beautiful and serene place! We loved our stay! It was very restful, very close to the shopping area too. The pond was such a pleasant place to walk around and take in all the peace that nature affords. Also, the Rural Hill Farm team was pleasant to work with. The facilities were always clean and functioning well. Thanks for a great week!

This is an amazing place to stay very quiet, and a beautiful view. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure that you have a water pressure reducer The water is coming in at 80 psi. And would definitely stay there again

Campground Response

Backend Site #5: This was our shakedown trip to test out our new to us 33ft Holiday Rambler Admiral. Everything was as expected per the notes listed by the owners (intermittent internet, no onsite management). When we first arrived, was greeted by an owner that just happen to be out and about and stopped to make sure we located all hookups. It is a quiet, well kept, clean RV park. Bath house was REALLY nice (could have used a seat/stool in the shower for shaving). It also has laundry facilities (no extra charge) but we didn't need so have not rating on that (did see many other people using). Be sure and place your square levelers under your leveling feet so they don't sink way far in as the ground is still settling with the gravel substance. For this particular spot we needed to level out quite a bit L-to-R so recommend you also bring your leveling ramps. The grounds are beautiful (I can see why so many people want to get married here) and the sunrise over the pond each morning was spectacular. It is a bit of a drive back into the area so be sure and come during the day when setting up so you can easily find/follow the signs for the RV park.

Campground Response

Thank you very much for the review, Shelby! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay here at Rural Hill Farm! We hope you'll come visit us again soon. Thank you for your business!

This is a nice, secluded, quiet campground. We saw many deer every evening. There are a lot of campsites filled by people working in the area. No wifi. We enjoyed our stay here, but it is a long drive to Nashville (time wise).

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, J! We are glad you enjoyed a quiet getaway here at Rural Hill Farm! We do have Wi-Fi at the sites. Network name and password is listed on your confirmation email and as always we can be reached by phone during our business hours with any questions. We hope you'll come visit us again soon and enjoy those amenities. Thank you for your business!

Lorne Shive

This place is a really nice and quiet RV camp. They have lots of amenities to offer you. The laundry room was great! They didnt even charge you to use them. The only reason i cant give 5 stars is because you simply can't see out there at night time. There are no lights up to help with finding your site when you first arrive. There are no attendants to help you either. So if you choose this place then please do not arrive at night. Arrive during the day time so you can see everything. Plus its a nice drive all the way back to the RV site so the views are really nice. Wildlife all over. Oh! And they have lots of signs to guide you for help along the way to your site.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, Lorne! We are so glad that you all enjoyed your stay. We are aware that it can be quite dark at night which is why we strongly suggest that guests arrive during our stated check-in window of 2-6 PM. We hope you'll come stay with us again soon. Thank you for your business!

Cabin #2 was great. Beautiful secluded grounds, mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. Nice to have shower necessities and starter coffee if needed. Host replied in timely manner when we had locked ourselves out.

Campground Response

Sally Riddle

This is an RV park with nothing positive going for it except full hook-ups and being in a rural area if that is what you are looking for. It is a tight fit to get your unit into a space, and if all spaces are filled, it is a very crowded area given all the "free land" around it. With "pull-thru" spots, while they are of adequate length, all of the hook-ups are at the very back of the space meaning for most units you cannot keep you tow vehicle attached and still do your hook-ups - which defeated the purpose of a one-night stay for us where we did not want to unhook. Since there is no staff on site, and very poor signage, there is no direction given as to the best direction to turn into to pull into the "pull-thru" spots. While you can figure it out if you stare at the sites before pulling in, if you are tired after a long day of driving, you can easily turn the wrong way and have a hard time maneuvering. I will not return here, and other campers who were there expressed the same.

Campground Response

Sally, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are sorry to hear that our accommodations were not ideal for your situation. We will be sure to take your feedback into consideration as we continue to grow and expand. We recognize that not everyone will love our property, and that’s okay! Thank you for visiting Rural Hill Farm.

MIA DERRICK

4.0
The location was beautiful, clean and well kept. The only negative was the lack of internet connection. This was unfortunate as I would have given 6 out of 5 stars had the internet been better.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, Mia! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Rural Hill Farm! We are working hard to get Wi-Fi up and running for our guests and hope to have that working soon. Apologies that it was not ready during your stay. We hope you'll come back and visit us again soon. Thank you for your business!

No WIFI!! Nothing to do. Only received 4 TV channels all religious. Lots too close. No on-site employee you have to call someone and wait for a callback. The only good thing is the employees are very nice if you have to have interaction with them.

Campground Response

David, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We are very transparent about both our current Wi-Fi situation and no onsite office by having those details clearly stated on our listing and confirmation page. We are working tirelessly to get Wi-Fi up and running for our guests and hope to have that working soon. Apologies that it was not ready during your stay. We are glad to hear that you had positive experiences with our staff — we take great pride in that! We hope you’ll come back and give us another try and take advantage of our many scenic walking/nature trails and large pond. Please also note that we are mere minutes from lots of shopping, restaurants, entertainment, etc. and all that Nashville has to offer! Thank you for your business!

Ricky Kinney

4.0
Lovely property, however, we had requested and paid extra for a pull through site but didn’t get one. There were at least two pull through sites opened while we were there. There is also the problem with very bossy neighbors in the airstream up by the restrooms and laundry room. We managed to enjoy the property despite these issues but feel it would be helpful if there was staff available to address issues with regard to one’s stay.

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, Ricky! We are glad that you all enjoyed your stay at Rural Hill Farm! We do not have any record of a pull through site being selected on your reservation and our team did not make a manual site change. We apologize for any confusion. We will dig into our listing and try to identify if there is a way to make the site types more clear during the booking process. In the future, please know that although we do not have an office onsite, we are always able to be reached by phone during business hours to help address any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your business!

Campground Response

Thank you for the review, John! We are so glad to hear that you had a positive experience with our team and enjoyed our facilities. We should have Wi-Fi up and running here soon. We hope you'll come visit us again in the future!
