For the price, this place has a lot going for it. The bait shop was great as was the restaurant. The camper pads were easy to access, and it had full hookups. Most of the electric was 50 amp so make sure you have an adapter. The boat dock and covered fishing pier are are both brand new. Other parts of the facility are showing their age, but you can tell the owner is making a lot of headway bringing everything up to current standards.

Had a few hic cups on hook up but was a nice place will go back. Main complaint was during concert music was so loud that you could not hear singer. Swimming area needs updated.

Looked nice originally when we pulled in. Tried hooking up the RV in our site and the electric hook up didn't work, the sewer cap came off when trying to open it, my sisters site didn't have water hook ups and we both paid for full hook ups so we ended up using both from a 3rd site. The trash was over flowing in most of the trash cans. The grounds were really not kept up on. The lake itself was ok and the 1 person we talked to while there was nice in the bait shop.

Resort is under new ownership so there are a few things that need work, but they are working on it and the place has potential. Excited to see what it will be with a little time.

Ive srayed there a lot.i like it

I called to reserve a cabin for 3 Someone from there sent me photos of a cabin with 3 beds in it. Upon arrival she said our cabin only had 2 beds and that the 3 bed cabin has been rented out for some time now. Just lied to make the sale! Childish behavior. And it’s not that nice of a park anyway..

Campground Response

Sorry for this mix-up , we have made changes so this wont happen again.

Lake Striker Resort is the best place to visit in East Texas. There is always something fun going on for both adults and kids. The new boat ramp, piers, and fishing dock make it easy to reel in a big catch. We fished in the crappie tournament last weekend and had a great time. Can’t wait to hook up the camper and take the dogs back to Striker soon!

Campground Response

We had a wonderful time. All staff was pleasant and helpful when needed. They have cleaned up the resort a lot since we were there last. We will be back!

Some times the website for RV camp grounds are misleading. This was one of those times. The large red white and blue covered fishing pier was blown down as a result of a storm sometime in the past. It is still laying down in the lake; has never been cleaned up. Their public restroom is a port-a-potty behind the bait shop. The RV site we were given was filled with large spools of cable and other construction materials. They relocated me to the RV site right next to that one. The fishing area was grown up and needed to be mowed and cleaned up. I found myself watching for snakes the whole time I was fishing. However, the lady running the bait shop/store was very nice and very helpful.

Campground Response

Thank you for visiting Lake Striker Resort. Sadly our covered fishing pier was destroyed by a tornado several months ago and it is taking longer than we hoped for repairs (dealing with insurance companies and the virus ). Sorry you weren't informed about our public restrooms/showers located behind the resuraunt with the laundry mat. I hope you visit us again as we are always trying to improve the site and your experience at Lake Striker Resort.

We had a great visit. This was our first time at Lake Striker Marina and RV Park. We chose to reserve a motel room. They have a lovely row of six rooms up on a hill, with a nice view of the lake and boat ramp and restaurant. The motel room was clean and everything worked. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a full size fridge! The room is equipped with comfortable beds, a small coffeemaker and microwave, a bathroom with separate sink and open closet area. There’s no power outlet in the bathroom sink area, but that wasn’t an issue for us. The marina has a slightly dated feel but everything was clean and comfortable. We were sad to find the fishing pier closed; apparently this springs storms caused some damage they will have to repair. They were kind enough to let us fish from the boat dock and I moved over to a shady spot on the shore. The fishing was active and fun. The people were pleasant, and the little camp store is nicely stocked. The prices are incredibly reasonable for a lakefront marina and I would definitely consider the place family friendly. Thanks for a fun weekend!
