We had a wonderful time. All staff was pleasant and helpful when needed. They have cleaned up the resort a lot since we were there last. We will be back!

Some times the website for RV camp grounds are misleading. This was one of those times. The large red white and blue covered fishing pier was blown down as a result of a storm sometime in the past. It is still laying down in the lake; has never been cleaned up. Their public restroom is a port-a-potty behind the bait shop. The RV site we were given was filled with large spools of cable and other construction materials. They relocated me to the RV site right next to that one. The fishing area was grown up and needed to be mowed and cleaned up. I found myself watching for snakes the whole time I was fishing. However, the lady running the bait shop/store was very nice and very helpful.

Campground Response

Thank you for visiting Lake Striker Resort. Sadly our covered fishing pier was destroyed by a tornado several months ago and it is taking longer than we hoped for repairs (dealing with insurance companies and the virus ). Sorry you weren't informed about our public restrooms/showers located behind the resuraunt with the laundry mat. I hope you visit us again as we are always trying to improve the site and your experience at Lake Striker Resort.

We had a great visit. This was our first time at Lake Striker Marina and RV Park. We chose to reserve a motel room. They have a lovely row of six rooms up on a hill, with a nice view of the lake and boat ramp and restaurant. The motel room was clean and everything worked. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a full size fridge! The room is equipped with comfortable beds, a small coffeemaker and microwave, a bathroom with separate sink and open closet area. There’s no power outlet in the bathroom sink area, but that wasn’t an issue for us. The marina has a slightly dated feel but everything was clean and comfortable. We were sad to find the fishing pier closed; apparently this springs storms caused some damage they will have to repair. They were kind enough to let us fish from the boat dock and I moved over to a shady spot on the shore. The fishing was active and fun. The people were pleasant, and the little camp store is nicely stocked. The prices are incredibly reasonable for a lakefront marina and I would definitely consider the place family friendly. Thanks for a fun weekend!
