(1) Review

11251 US Highway 2, Troy, MT, 59935

Come stay with us on the beautiful Kootenai River just two miles west of Troy, Montana on US Hwy 2. We offer pull-through RV sites with fire pits. A grassy tent area can accommodate either an individual family or group camping or stay in one of our charming rustic cabins. Clean restrooms with showers are provided. Located right on the Kootenai River, the campground and cabins are a fisherman's dream. Brook, Bull, Rainbow, and Cutthroat trout as well as Kokanee salmon are all present in the Kootenai. Numerous streams and lakes dot the surrounding area where perch, bass, Northern pike, and Redband trout can be found. Few places offer the variety of outdoor recreation, in a pristine wilderness setting, as this part of Montana. Within a short drive of the campground, a visitor can view the Kootenai Falls, Yaak Falls, or walk the trail at Ross Creek Cedars. For the more adventurous spirit, explore the miles of trails in the Kootenai National Forest and Cabinet Mountains Wilderness.

Kootenai River Campground includes amenities such as electricity. This campground is located on 11251 US Highway 2 in Troy, MT and is open May 1 - Oct 30.

This is a somewhat basic park in an absolutely lovely setting. They only have one 50 Amp spot which is hard for larger rigs to access, so we lived with 30 AMP for the week we stayed here. It was quite cool, so we never needed our air conditioners, which was good. The park has been a KOA and the owner has made some improvements, but it does show its age. It is not on the river, but the river is a short walk away. Must be good fishing because we saw folks carrying fish up from the river. No swimming, though. The owner is as nice as she can be and walks you to your site prior to you paying. The pay for 6 days get 7 days rate makes this very reasonable. We would definitely return if in the area again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
