This is the worst value for $50/night I have seen in 4-1/2 years as a FT RV nomad, staying in 45 states. Sites are not really level, not paved, and the one I was assigned badly needed to be re-graveled. The positioning of the sewer outlet toward the front and the water/electric at the rear of the pad meant it couldn't really be a full hookup site...further ensured by the elevation of the sewer outlet sticking out a good foot above ground level. On the last night, I called the office and asked to move to a better site right next to mine that had remained empty the whole time I was there. It was more level, better graveled, and had the hookups positioned better, tho sewer entry still too high. No amenities of interest and you have to pay for decent Internet, on top of this highly elevated nightly rate. Really not at all what I expect for $50/night plus Internet fee. BTW...Currently paying $56/night in Houston metro, with gated security, paved sites, trash pickup, good WiFi, and lovely facilities for laundry, shower, etc. Home on the Range is a rip-off...and the bread pudding sample didn't balance my books!

Cute, quiet place. Bathrooms and showers could use an upgrade. Overall the park was clean and the owners were very friendly. You get a delicious little bowl of homemade bread pudding as a welcome gift. There are free range chickens walking around and a cute little catch and release pond. Overall it’s a nice little stop along the way.

the people were kind and helpful. The park itself was not as advertised. there were many "eye sores" per say and unappealing to the eye.

Great one night stay. Easy pull through close to shower/laundry. Friendly, helpful staff (especially Bella the greeter camp dog). Gift of their homemade “Heavenly bread pudding” was so nice. They sell eggs but the restaurant is closed. Stop at Buc-ee’s right down the freeway!

Campground Response

Thanks Kay for your nice review. It was great having you and your husband is our park for the night. We hope to see you again soon. Wishing you many many miles of safe travels.

I didn’t know my space was a “buddy” space. Be sure to ask. Great park overall. Bread pudding was awesome.

A true campground. Not pretty but can't argue with the hospitality. Restaurant was closed on monday and tuesday's but i could smell the good food it produced as I'm sure they were prepping for wed. Sewer caps missing from vents and seafood dumpster near us was little smelly. Defonatly a fulltimers spot. Would stay again cause i like the camping vibe more then the resort type campgrounds.

The spots were level, the electric , sewer and water pressure excellent. Quiet as can be even though right on the highway. Not the prettiest place but the friendliest staff I have had in 9 years. We will be staying again.

Great location. Very convenient. Nice, rustic spot. People SO nice and very helpful. Having Shrimpy’s right there is really convenient, too. Delicious food (the bread pudding rocks). Enjoyed our stay. Will be back!

Good place to stop for a night. The grass around our site hadn’t been mowed in sometime. The showers were not the cleanest. Overall if you are passing through and need to stop for a night I recommend.

Great stop for overnight or even longer for full-timers! Nice open sites, full hookups, no need for wi-fi, got 5G on ATT because of proximity to I-45. They had this fabulous little restaurant onsite with the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. Will definitely stay again!

Had full hookups. Wi-Fi was okay. Had 4 newer washers and 4 newer dryers. Great restaurant on site. But suggest they add gravel to sites. And grade out their roads, too many deep ruts and potholes.
