Little Pine Creek Road. Within the PA Wilds near lower Pine Creek Gorge/Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, Happy Acres is located next to Little Pine State Park at a very scenic location. Open all year, they offer full hookup sites terraced on a wooded hillside. Amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, lounge, store, new office building with cabins and cottages. The valley is off the grid, Happy Acres has an internet café and Verizon cell service in the campground. The area offers a lot of outdoor recreation. Tubing, kayaking, canoeing on Pine Creek with world class fishing. Biking on the Pine Creek Rail Trail, highly rated by USA Today and Outside magazine. A long distance hiking/backpacking trail, The Mid State Trail, passes next to Happy Acres. This is a great campground to get away and get outdoors. Best access here is PA Route 44 north from Jersey Shore, PA. Considering its location, I was intrigued that it was open all year. The water supply was insulated and had heat tape to prevent freezing. We stayed here in early March, with snow on the mountains, and had good water pressure. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
