The Gateway Ranch RV Resort is located near the beautiful town of Salome, Arizona and is a great place for a quiet southwestern getaway. Onsite, travelers can enjoy golfing and a short, one mile walk to the nearest market and fresh vegetable stand. Campers can look forward to clear views of the breathtaking Sonoran Desert, site seeing at the nearby ghost towns and rock hounding for precious gems and stones. Nearby, travelers can also enjoy swap-meets, art and craft shows, the Tyson Wells and wildlife viewing. While campers are hiking, ATV touring and biking, many keep their eyes open for coyotes, roadrunners and quails. Other attractions include the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge, Kofa National Wildlife Refuge and the excellent water sports at Lake Havasu. At the lake, campers can go canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, cruising and fishing, and settle on the water side for sunset viewing and stargazing.

Amenities at the park include: full hookups, wide streets, 20/30/50 amp sites, laundry facilities, showers, ATV spaces, a clubhouse and furnished park models for rent. Hope to see you soon!

I believe this is one of the best RV campgrounds that I have been to. It’s nothing special. Big sites. No pullthroughs. Quiet Simple. Nice people. Not many amenities. Nice laundry. Cheap propane. Full hookups.

We love this park. The manager & her husband go the extra yard. Everyone is very friendly & always ready to help their neighbors. The clubhouse has become the center point for getting together, the person incharge is ways coming up with the best of including everyone. Really relaxing & friendly. The other attraction is desert ridings.

Nice one night stop, clean and wide sites.

I have traveled the country staying in RV resorts and parks. This is the worst managed place I have ever stayed. Restrooms and laundry were hardly ever clean. Showers either. They have a clubhouse, but not very clean or a up to date accounting of club money. The current manager is not very friendly or easy to work with. They act like some guests are intruding on their time. I met many that were fed up with all the drama created by the poor management and an off site owner who acts about the same. Many I spoke with are looking for other parks for their winter stay. People come south to have fun and relax. I would not stay here again if it was free. Life is too short for all the bs at this park.

Campground Response

I'm sorry to say that we've never had a Jake at this park. It's pretty sad that someone has to make up a name to post a bad review. This Park is an amazing park and we've never had this type of drama. Thank you!

Huge spaces ... easy in and out. The property is well kept, clean. It’s nice and quiet and everyone is very friendly.

Sites are large, 30' x 40'. All that is provided is water, electric, and sewer hookups. No picnic table or fire ring. Bathrooms are clean. Water here is good, pressure and taste. Two bars on Verizon connection.

Actually our site are all 40x50. A great location to go out for rides in the desert! I hope you enjoyed your stay.

We all need that place to escape to and relax - the getaway. Well this is a great place for that and the name is very fitting! The staff here goes out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The amenities were nice and gave us everything we needed for our stay. The activities were a lot of fun and very relaxing for the whole family. I spent a lot of time walking the park and just gazing at the beautiful views there was. I liked how everything was nicely maintained and the amount of very spacious sites to choose from. This is a great place for any family! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
