Campers can look forward to excellent fishing at the lakes, as well as opportunities for kayaking, swimming and boating. Visitors can also expect great hiking trails and large open areas for picnicking and exploring. The area is thick with thriving forestry, so prepare for some spectacular views, and occasional bird or deer roaming the mountain regions.

Located in Carson National Forest. Very nice campsites, but extremely primitive. Water faucets are only services available, but they prohibit you connecting any water hoses to fill your holding tanks. Pit toilets, but you are not allowed to dump any of your gray or black water into them. Red River RV park just a few miles away will allow you to fill and dump, but at a pretty price. Caution when filling as they use the same hose for fresh water fill as sewer flush. Red River waste treatment is just a couple miles away and does have a dump station for 5$ but is very difficult to get into and they don't have water to wash out tank. Overall Red River doesn't appear to be especially RV friendly unless you use commercial campgrounds. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
