Take advantage of the spacious and well laid-out Desert Paradise Mobile Home & RV Village near the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. There are plenty of hiking trails near Orogrande or near High Rolls, and others at Cloudcroft. It's near several great attractions such as Cloudcroft, the Apache Reservation Casino and the White Sands Missile Range. Alamogordo is filled with history and beauty, and is popular for its outdoor sporting activities like biking and disc-surfing down the sand dunes of the White Sand Monument. Open all year round, amenities include WIFI, sewerage, 30/50 amp sites, restrooms, showers and big-rig pull thrus. Excellent park, in a stellar location - you're certain to enjoy your time there.

We stayed at Desert Paradise for two nights while visiting White Sands National Monument. First, the RV park is about 15 minutes from White Sands which was PERFECT for us. It also is about 15 minutes from the Heart of the Desert Pistachio farm, another great attraction. So the location is wonderful. We had some difficulty finding the park from the road because the sign is a bit dark (we were coming in after 6pm) so keep your eyes peeled. But after turning in, it was fairly easy to navigate through. The park itself was very clean and well maintained. The parking spots were huge, each featuring more space than we were used to, plus a picnic bench and garbage can. Our 24-ft Itasca fit perfectly with tons of room to spare. The club house is a nice little set up with a full kitchen, games, library, TV, laundry, and two full bathrooms. It seems to be the place for people to gather and hang out and had a very homey feel. The bathrooms were extremely clean and the showers were large. They are separate full baths, so it's more like the bathroom you would have in your house rather than RV park bathroom stalls. There isn't much greenery around, because hey, you're in the desert. But, there is a nice dog run that you can bring your pets, on leash, for a bit of exercise. It was quiet the entire time we were there. Even being a shared mobile home park as well, there wasn't much commotion. Everyone seems to keep to themselves. I would recommend the park as a nice place to stay while checking out some attractions. It isn't a resort and doesn't have loads of amenities, but it's well maintained and does the trick!
