Flooding

Crooked Creek Campground is subject to flooding during times of extended rain events. We are on the Tennessee River which is flood controlled by the Tennessee Valley Authority dams. Flooding is USUALLY an issue only in the winter months and very early spring but can be a factor anytime. It is not flash flood events that we deal with so we usually have plenty of time to move out of the campground. Campers owners will be notified when campers need to be moved. When notified campers are encouraged to get their trailers out ASAP. Crooked Creek Campground is not responsible for damaged caused by flooding in the event a camper is not moved in time. River levels can be monitored at: https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=meg&gage=prvt1. 362 feet is the level where flooding in the campground begins. By 363 all campers must be out of campground.

Was not what I expected at all. Directions email gave us was much longer of a distance than our GPS was. Windy road wasn't an issue pulling our 5th wheel back to I-40. Was never greated by a host and no wi-fi info was provided for us to use. Price was good for only staying one night. RV park was more for permanent residency than a camping location.

Crooked Creek was a small campground with muddy sites. It was a long drive from the major highway. We were not greeted by a camp master and we were left to find a spot for ourselves. The grounds were run down. Not a good stopover for 1 night.

Very laid back and peaceful being on the river. Also feels like you are away from everything enjoying the country. We had full hookup but there is no cable. We are ok with that because we like the down time every now and then but just wanted to mention that for anyone that feels they have to have it. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely visit again!

This is a great campground. Quiet and peaceful. The people are the friendliest and most helpful I've ever been around. As a first time RVer, the helped us figure out all sorts of things on our first "shake down" cruise. Learned more from them in an hour than 3 hours at the dealership. Laurie and Dale are so helpful and friendly. We will most certainly be back. I camped in a 35 foot class A. 50 Amp service, water and sewer were available. Great place A true hidden gem!

I am 62 years old and new to the travel trailer camping scene. I have stayed at the Crooked Creek Campground this summer 3 times. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is always so clean and neat. The staff and neighbors are always so friendly. Management and tenants assisted me with my set up and take down of my camp (which was a huge help} and teaching me the . It is a great place for a getaway. It's very quiet and serene and a wonderful place for stargazing, relaxing, and fishing right outside your door.

Great family owned and run campground. Roads are a little tight coming in and out but you are directly on the creek just off the TN river and there is a marina side by side with the campground that has a boat ramp and a store. Spaces on the water for smaller campers. Big campers go in the grassy middle but all full hook up. Bring your own fire pit and firewood. Lots of kids running around playing and close to many Buffalo River float sites as well as Loretta Lynn's and Mousetail Landing for venturing off site. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere from everyone! Will definitely be back.

Awesome campground to camp at on a year round, seasonal or just for a few nights. Great new owners Christy and Anthony, who are very responsive and have timely communication. There are many regular campers here so makes it a bit safer place to camp and all the regulars are very friendly to newbies or just to campers passing through. Great , easy water access with this campground as a marina is a few 100 yards from the campsites. Fishing easy from banks of the campground or easy boat launch area also and marina store has bait and other necessities. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is overall size of some spaces are not as big as some campground sites but I definately would recommend this place overall and I have decided to stay a month at least!
