We stayed here with some friends for four days and had a wonderful time. The owner was very nice and attentive to our needs. We had read the previous reviews and were concerned about staying but it was the most convenient to where we were going. We decided to stay and we are so happy we did. I would recommend this place to anyone who is camping in Salmon Idaho.

Don’t stay here! My wife and I pulled into the campground to spend a couple nights so that we could explore the Salmon, Idaho area in consideration of moving there. The owner/manager was EXTREMELY rude and unkind. We ended up getting our money back and leaving. Absolutely horrible customer service. If this is the way people are in Salmon, we won’t be moving there, that’s for sure!

Made a reservation and then found out I had to have an operation for cancer so tried to move it to the next year (for an even longer time). Owner is rude and refused. He then charged our credit card for more than he originally told us he would do. I am sure karma will come back around for people as heartless as this.

Salmon, Idaho 603 HWY 93 North. 19 site campground, seven big rig sites. 1-5 have concrete patios. gravel and grass. good space between sites. Located along the Salmon River. Big cotton wood shade trees. A deck with picnic table over the water available to all. Showers with good pressure, bathrooms face the river. Also a nice laundry room. Shortly after a storm the owner was cleaning up the limbs, and twigs. This is the only campground that I would call decent in the Salmon area. So many are hidden behind other businesses and junk yards. His is Woodalls and AAA reviewed. It was mentioned in Trailer /Motor home life recently. This owner is very "picky" according to some visitors. He wants dogs walked only in a certain area, and not have you park your car on the grass. If you saw the other campgrounds you can see he really puts his heart into his campground. He is an older man, at least in his 60's. We were here in July 2013 for a couple of weeks. We are here again for 8 days before moving on. He explains all the taxes which amounted to 12 %. Also he charges 75 cents per slide per day. Charged an extra $8 for our extra person (above 2). There are motels and gas stations along this road. But not much road noise or jake brakes. Our friend walked to the town area daily. The elevation is about 4000 ft, big Bitterroot mountain range still had snow on them. Town is a bit over 3000 population. Parts of it is like stepping back into the 1960's. Hospital in town and medivac. I would return again - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
