We were just passing through. Easy reservation. Easy check in even thoug no one was there. Clean. Would stop again. Thanks.

Very clean, open. Staff very friendly. Train tracks close by but not too much noise. Shower curtain needs to be longer in order to keep water from splashing into dressing area.

We only stayed one night, passing through. Nice clean park, wish there were some trees for shade. Staff is very nice.

Nice new park, no shade, ice and propane on site. Only negative.. no trash cans at sites and no trash pick up.. dumpster at far end of park..

Camped here for Labor Day 2018. I would have given it a 5 if there had been any trees for shade. Seems like a young park so I assume shade will be there, but not for years to come. Otherwise, a perfect spot for RV'ers and their families. Everything is kept in pristine condition and the staff was super friendly. Easy highway access too!

The campground was great. A concrete pad for every rv. The restrooms and shower area was large and very clean. The people that checked us in were very friendly and helpful.

The park itself is 5 stars. Large sites, brand new and very clean. Nice pool, game room and restroom facilities. The staff was friendly (our only interaction was briefly at check-in). I am knocking off a star because of the surprise service fees added by roverpass. The campground should consider mentioning this on their website BEFORE you go through roverpass. Something like "Book Online (additional fees apply)" would suffice. We were on the road when booking, so admittedly we could have missed the mention of the fee on the roverpass site, BUT if it had been mentioned on the campground's site, we would have just stopped and called. And just to be clear, we are not talking a couple dollars here, more like 20% of the site rate! So much for our Good Sam discount. :( Would stay here again if in the area, but would definitely NOT book online!

I would give it 5 stars but there's no shade trees... yet anyways. The place is very new and VERY nice but the trees are new too. It was very hot over Memorial weekend so some shade would have made the place perfect. Some complain about train noise but we only heard the train a few times Friday night otherwise it was not an issue. Clean bathrooms & showers along with very nice & helpful employees. We will be back!

This may turn into a regular quick getaway for us. Very clean, very nice dog park. We had a view over the pond. All paved, no gravel, nice grass. Cable and Wi-Fi seemed decent, but needs further testing.

We were traveling to Texas and stopped there for a one night stay. We were totally blown away by the site size, easy in-out access and cleanliness all at a reasonable cost. Their proximity to the lake and it's amenities make this a great destination spot for a longer stay when the weather is warmer.

We stayed this past weekend 3-9 through 3-12. We are new to the RV scene. Our overall impression was what a wanderfull Resort. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We had dinner Saturday night at the “ Fire Side “ just down the road a quarter of a mile or so. The food was delicious. We have 3 dogs. Spent plenty of time throwing the ball for plenty of exercise. We would recommend “ By The Lake RV Park “ to everyone. We will be back for another enjoyable stay..

Overall a great resort. New lodge, nice concrete pads and patios. Quiet area. Easy access and near state park. Staff was exceptionally nice. Didn’t give it a 5 star only because trees are very small yet. Would suggest a few mature trees the kickstart the overall park feel. Highly recommend this park and will be back.

We really wanted to like this park, it has great reviews and a decent location. I will start with the good parts of our experience. Easy to find, good access, wide driveways/roads, brand new facilities. The dog park (more like a dog run) was very large and well kept. We did not use the bath house or laundry facility, but the both looked nice. Water pressure was excellent and the concrete site was level. The location was both good and horrible at the same time. Close enough to arbuckle wilderness, turner falls, and a couple of other attractions. Keep reading for the down side. Now, for the not so good. We changed our reservation length before our arrival, because of the weather forecast. The staff, which was somewhat helpful, said we would have to go through “RoverPass”. Keep in mind we tried to work with them up to this point and have not had much luck. We finally got a reply from RoverPass, saying the park still had us checked in and leaving on the 23rd. That’s funny, because we checked out on the 22nd. Definitely will not be using RoverPass again. The lady who checked us in was very direct and to the point, not much more. She wasn’t rude or disrespectful, just wasn’t very pleasant. My kids and wife quickly found their way to the play ground, while I was setting things up. We have 2 year old twins and 2 older preteens. This playground was acceptable for the older kids, but DEFINITELY NOT for a 2 year old. The worst part about this park is the close proximity to a very active railroad. By active I mean, active at all times of the day and night. You can only imagine what this was like with 2 year old twins. The crappy’est part of the park was the sewer dump was actually right at the same height or just above the dump valves on our 5’er. This provided to be rather challenging.

Great place! Very clean facilities including theirs showers and bathrooms and well designed, private, and plenty of space. My teens had a great time playing basketball and tether ball! Nice pool and located close enough to Ardmore for supplies if needed. Only draw back, which is very minor, weak WiFi & limited items to buy.

Stayed here 2 nights. Brand new rv park just south of Ardmore, 2 miles from Lake Murray. 1st class all the way. Asphalt driveways, level concrete rv sites with enough space between sites to feel comfortable. 30/50 amp FHU. Cable was good, wifi was not operational yet, the park has recently opened and the wifi has not been completed. The bathrooms/showers are a 10. Pool is at the front of the park behind the large office and game room. The dog walk is large with a miniature fire hydrant. 90 pull through sites, 30 back in sites, and in the far end of the park 37 monthly back in sites. It is obvious a lot of work was done on this park to make it first class. $49.00/night. If I return to the area, I would stay again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
