Very quite and clean

Sharel Cross

Very nice

Jason Toomey

We’ve stayed here twice in about a months time and have been greeted with such hospitality. Clean and picturesque.

Bill Lewis

Very clean and easy to get into the spaces! The camp hosts were very helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend!

Candice Fouts

Very well maintained and clean. Convient location off I-35 and the entrance to Lake Murray. We enjoyed our time there as a family.

Randall Cordial

Extremely clean, excellent hospitality by staff, with easy access in and out of park. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay. We would highly recommend this Rv park. Great place to stay!😀

Gayle O'Grady

We love By the Lake for it’s clean shower building, great staff and peaceful setting! I recommend it for everyone.

Terence Sommerville

This is a great park. Only a few years old but great roads and level concrete pads. Young trees so not a ton of shade but that will improve with time. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Great office and pool area too but we didn’t do any swimming due to weather. And... the fastest WiFi I have had at any park. We will definitely be back.

George Herbert

Newer park. Great layout and level pads. Want to come back when the trees are older. Nice little lake, pool, playground, and walking path. Quiet--away from the freeway.

Gerald Howe

Very well kept park, friendly staff and easy to find.

Al Talkingtom

Really nice RV Park. Owned by RV’ers they have the amenities. We only spent a night passing through so can’t evaluate everything. The managers were very friendly and helpful. The pads are concrete so that was great. They provided water regulators but the one at my site leaked badly and I had my own. Downside, the pads are not ver level. I had to add an inch and a half to one side. Checked several others with the same result, still recommended.

Martin Dunlap

This is a nice park. Easy in and out. Paved long and wide sites. Good cable TV. Internet is so-so. Without going into a lot of detail, the work staff out of the office is rude. Instead of discussing something they don’t like, the yell from their truck as they drive by. And there were only about 15 RVs in the whole park.

Christopher Whiteley

Great place, clean, and most importantly, the front office staff was excellent! We will be back and finally, a great functional dog park with fence that goes to the ground so small dogs can run and have fun. The Whiteley's + 4 Fleabags!

John Wilkes

This is a nice clean, quiet park. The roads are wide making for easy turning of large rigs and spaces are long and level. Our site had a nice view of the water. I will stay there again.

Randy Nolte

Excellent park! Great concrete sites, some looking out over the lake. Clean and convenient to Ardmore and a major state park. Will stay here again when in the area!

Jeramie Simpson

Great place! Everyone was really friendly!

Richard Prezel

Nice clean park. Easy to level. Nice dog park.

Paige Glover

We absolutely LOVE this park! 2nd year in a row we’ve come to have a long weekend with our friends from Texas, and it definitely will not be our last! People are great, location is great and facilities are OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Keep it up!!

Dedy Slack

Very nice facility, easy access. pleasant staff, loved the pool

Roger Dix

Very nice area, office staff was great, would get 5 stars if the trees were full grown. Will definitely stay there again.

Gary Archer

Excellent RV park, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Park is very well maintained with nice pull through sites and very clean restrooms/showers. Will definitely stay there again. My only recommendation is for the park to install a compressor/air hose to check or inflate tires on rigs prior to hitting the road.

Jerry Fancher

Great paved pull through space, nice grounds and pool, great game room, and very close to the Lake.

Tony Bolstad

Veey nice park. Carol was extremely nice and helpful at check in. Would stay again.

Kay Daigle

Excellent place to stay. The staff was friendly and check in was efficient. The pool was area was clean, grounds were kept up, and the showers and bathrooms were well maintained. I will definitely stay here again.

Kyle Kelly

Very clean well kept rv park big rig friendly will definitely go back to this park. Awesome!!!!

Lori Lobo

Stayed for 3 days, restrooms/shower were always very clean, grounds are well maintained and staff was always friendly and helpful. Loved the dog run area and waste bags were provided. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because several people staying at the park allowed their dogs to roam freely off leash. Luckily there was not an issue this time but last fall at a different park in Arkansas had my dog on leash right outside our camper and we were attacked by a pit bull so seeing these dogs roam off leash just made me a little nervous.

Rebecca Chamberlin

We would stay here again. The park was clean and everyone was friendly. The restroom facilities were super clean and the dog park was great. The one thing I would say is that there are no fire pits.

Vanessa Hurliman

Clean, well run, great attention to detail and friendly staff. They have a very nice off leash dog park and even the water bowl was filled and fresh. Beautiful site backing up to wooded area. We will definitely stop there again.

Dana Haselgrove

Very clean campground. Friendly staff. Easy access to I-35. Very nicely laid out with all sights pull-thru. Be nice when the trees grow. Little on the pricey side. Designed more for a one night stay for travelers than someone looking to just get away for the weekend. Don't think I would use again as we are just looking for local places to get away for the weekend with friends.

Matt Bryan

Very clean park and restrooms / showers. Extremely nice staff. If in the area again we will be back!

Sam Dodson

Very clean park with excellent amenities. We were able to get a refill on our propane tank onsite. Right off I-35, I highly recommended!

Everything was very nice & exceptionally clean. Stayed a few days & all the local sights were within a short drive

Kevin Hall

We stayed there for a couple of days as we slowly made our way to our home in Texas. The grounds, friendly service, and amenities were all first rate! We will come again!

Me Mee

Was very unhappy with the way I was treated when I called to talk to someone they are very rude and not wanting to give out any informationon the phone I will be finding a a different place to stay

Campground Response

I'm so sorry to hear this! We are a family owned park and customer service is VERY important to us as you can tell by the previous reviews. Please give me a call. I'd like to find out more and make this right. Again, I apologize and hope to hear from you soon. Meredith 580-798-4721

Janet Barnes

Well thought out park. Concrete pads with patio and picnic tables on every site. Very nice shower/restrooms. Lovely game room. Clean laundry. Large dog park. Oh yes, there is a train nearby.

Dwayne Wilson

Very nice park and the best/biggest dog park I've seen thus far. Only downside is the noise from the nearby trains. If you're there in the summer and keep your A/C running, you should be able to sleep through the night. :-)

Emily Buckley

Very clean and well maintained RV sites. The concrete pads are a plus. The fenced in dog park is great and they provide the clean up bags. Staff at check-in was very friendly. Only negative (which is not there fault) is a train that goes by a lot.

Julie Spina

We were just passing through. Easy reservation. Easy check in even thoug no one was there. Clean. Would stop again. Thanks.

Steven Turner

Very clean, open. Staff very friendly. Train tracks close by but not too much noise. Shower curtain needs to be longer in order to keep water from splashing into dressing area.

Don Carpenter

Very happy with the campground as it was very clean with large spaces to relax.

Loyd Fore

This was our first time in our travel trailer and we could not have been more happy with it. Great facilities that were clean, and very adequate for providing easy living! Thanks

John Carlisle

We only stayed one night, passing through. Nice clean park, wish there were some trees for shade. Staff is very nice.

Bill Conn

Nice new park, no shade, ice and propane on site. Only negative.. no trash cans at sites and no trash pick up.. dumpster at far end of park..

Keith Hall

Camped here for Labor Day 2018. I would have given it a 5 if there had been any trees for shade. Seems like a young park so I assume shade will be there, but not for years to come. Otherwise, a perfect spot for RV'ers and their families. Everything is kept in pristine condition and the staff was super friendly. Easy highway access too!

Sheila Koons

The campground was great. A concrete pad for every rv. The restrooms and shower area was large and very clean. The people that checked us in were very friendly and helpful.

Blayne Maring

One of the very nicest rv parks in the country. Definitely a 10/10/10

Campground Response

Thank you so much!! We hope you'll be back soon!

Brittany Stewart

The facility is very well kept. Check in was a breeze, the location is great and we even caught a few fish. We will be back!

Juan Rangel

Nice place really enjoyed the stay.

Dorothy Edwards

Great...will stay here again!

Robert Hathaway

Very level site and very clean park. We where there for a week and can not say anything we didn't like. We are full timers and thois is one the best we have seen..

Mike Bounds

Great RV park. Near the lake. Very clean!! Courteous staff

Denise Carlson

We loved this campground. The sites were level and easy to pull through. The facilities were new, clean and sweet smelling. We stopped in for a night but would have loved to stay longer.

Happy Camper

Lloyd Wells

The park itself is 5 stars. Large sites, brand new and very clean. Nice pool, game room and restroom facilities. The staff was friendly (our only interaction was briefly at check-in). I am knocking off a star because of the surprise service fees added by roverpass. The campground should consider mentioning this on their website BEFORE you go through roverpass. Something like "Book Online (additional fees apply)" would suffice. We were on the road when booking, so admittedly we could have missed the mention of the fee on the roverpass site, BUT if it had been mentioned on the campground's site, we would have just stopped and called. And just to be clear, we are not talking a couple dollars here, more like 20% of the site rate! So much for our Good Sam discount. :( Would stay here again if in the area, but would definitely NOT book online!

Janice Parker

Very nice place, very nice people. Everything is brand new and is well maintained. Parking is all pull through and would accomadate even the large rigs. Thanks for a nice stay!!

Patricia Mead

I would give it 5 stars but there's no shade trees... yet anyways. The place is very new and VERY nice but the trees are new too. It was very hot over Memorial weekend so some shade would have made the place perfect. Some complain about train noise but we only heard the train a few times Friday night otherwise it was not an issue. Clean bathrooms & showers along with very nice & helpful employees. We will be back!

E. D Downs

We stayed 5 nights over Memorial Day. We will definitely be back!

Robert Goodman

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our first trip as RVers. It is a very well laid out park with easy accessibilty to sites. All facilities worked well and we're very clean. Staff was very nice. Great Park!!

Patrick Buchanan

This may turn into a regular quick getaway for us. Very clean, very nice dog park. We had a view over the pond. All paved, no gravel, nice grass. Cable and Wi-Fi seemed decent, but needs further testing.

Dan Curtis

Great park - very clean with nice amenities. Management seemed helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.

Walter Kemp

We were traveling to Texas and stopped there for a one night stay. We were totally blown away by the site size, easy in-out access and cleanliness all at a reasonable cost. Their proximity to the lake and it's amenities make this a great destination spot for a longer stay when the weather is warmer.

Campground Response

We're so glad you enjoyed our park! Thank you for the kind words and we hope you'll visit us again soon!

Thomas James

We stayed this past weekend 3-9 through 3-12. We are new to the RV scene. Our overall impression was what a wanderfull Resort. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We had dinner Saturday night at the “ Fire Side “ just down the road a quarter of a mile or so. The food was delicious. We have 3 dogs. Spent plenty of time throwing the ball for plenty of exercise. We would recommend “ By The Lake RV Park “ to everyone. We will be back for another enjoyable stay..

Renee Rivers

Overall a great resort. New lodge, nice concrete pads and patios. Quiet area. Easy access and near state park. Staff was exceptionally nice. Didn’t give it a 5 star only because trees are very small yet. Would suggest a few mature trees the kickstart the overall park feel. Highly recommend this park and will be back.

Matthew Tripp

We really wanted to like this park, it has great reviews and a decent location. I will start with the good parts of our experience. Easy to find, good access, wide driveways/roads, brand new facilities. The dog park (more like a dog run) was very large and well kept. We did not use the bath house or laundry facility, but the both looked nice. Water pressure was excellent and the concrete site was level. The location was both good and horrible at the same time. Close enough to arbuckle wilderness, turner falls, and a couple of other attractions. Keep reading for the down side. Now, for the not so good. We changed our reservation length before our arrival, because of the weather forecast. The staff, which was somewhat helpful, said we would have to go through “RoverPass”. Keep in mind we tried to work with them up to this point and have not had much luck. We finally got a reply from RoverPass, saying the park still had us checked in and leaving on the 23rd. That’s funny, because we checked out on the 22nd. Definitely will not be using RoverPass again. The lady who checked us in was very direct and to the point, not much more. She wasn’t rude or disrespectful, just wasn’t very pleasant. My kids and wife quickly found their way to the play ground, while I was setting things up. We have 2 year old twins and 2 older preteens. This playground was acceptable for the older kids, but DEFINITELY NOT for a 2 year old. The worst part about this park is the close proximity to a very active railroad. By active I mean, active at all times of the day and night. You can only imagine what this was like with 2 year old twins. The crappy’est part of the park was the sewer dump was actually right at the same height or just above the dump valves on our 5’er. This provided to be rather challenging.

Jaime Corona

Great place! Very clean facilities including theirs showers and bathrooms and well designed, private, and plenty of space. My teens had a great time playing basketball and tether ball! Nice pool and located close enough to Ardmore for supplies if needed. Only draw back, which is very minor, weak WiFi & limited items to buy.

Eric W Allen

Stayed here 2 nights. Brand new rv park just south of Ardmore, 2 miles from Lake Murray. 1st class all the way. Asphalt driveways, level concrete rv sites with enough space between sites to feel comfortable. 30/50 amp FHU. Cable was good, wifi was not operational yet, the park has recently opened and the wifi has not been completed. The bathrooms/showers are a 10. Pool is at the front of the park behind the large office and game room. The dog walk is large with a miniature fire hydrant. 90 pull through sites, 30 back in sites, and in the far end of the park 37 monthly back in sites. It is obvious a lot of work was done on this park to make it first class. $49.00/night. If I return to the area, I would stay again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
