The Big Chief RV Resort is located in the beautiful town of Burnet and is a great spot for a fun, relaxing vacation. Campers can look forward to attractions within driving distance of the park, including the Longhorn Caverns State Park, Inks Lake State Park and Canyon of the Eagles Nature Park. Among these locations, there's plenty of space for hiking, biking, picnicking, sunset viewing and stargazing. Lake Buchanan is one of the few lakes that has sandy beaches and a sandy bottom for great swimming, and that's why thousands flock there year after year while vacationing at this campground. Campers can look forward to hours spent lounging on the shores, jet skiing, swimming, and boating, or enjoy a number of great attractions just beyond the campground. Just another short drive away are other natural wonders like the Black Rock Park, Longhorn Caverns State Park, Vanishing Texas River tours and the Inks Lake State Park. Finally, travelers can look forward to a number of urban activities in the area, such as golf courses, art galleries, wineries and interesting sites like the Fort Croghan Grounds and Museum and the Eagle Eye Observatory. Amenities include: cabin rentals, WIFI, full hookups, clubhouse with a kitchen, pavilion, pool access and full hookups. Hope to see you soon!

Don't let the word "resort" scare you. This is a great park for everybody. The lake is suffering due to drought but when we were there people were launching boats via what may be a dredged canal but it was doing the job. This park had dropped below my comfort zone 2 years ago but new ownership and hours of hard work are paying off and we go there when we can. The pool was open and it is a beauty. The owners and workers are super nice. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

In my opinion the Native Americans had life figured out and they always looked for peace. This park was so much fun to visit. My husband is 1/8 Native American and my boys are a 1/16th. So this park was somewhat of a history lesson and to get them to their roots. We had one of the best times in a very long time here. Everything they have is so awesome, very placid and tranquil. The staff was very peaceful and easygoing. The utilities were immaculate and spotless. The camp was right by the water which made the trip even better. This was such a great relaxing resort and well worth every penny! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
