 The Juniper Campground is located at the Bandelier National Monument and is a popular camping spot for families and small groups of about 10 people or fewer. Look forward to some breathtaking views of the cliffside and mountain ranges, as well as a thriving wildlife landscape. Keep you eyes open for deer, the Bandelier butterflies, American pika and Abert's squirrels, as well the beautiful natural terrain that there creatures call home. Nestled among juniper and pinion trees in the Gila National Forest, the Pinion Campground is a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy a quiet getaway. A few sites even have a view of the Quemado Lake which is gorgeous at sunrise. Keep your eyes open for elk as your explore the forest and feel free to make your own trail as you hike and bike. The Pinion Access Trail is a popular trail to hike, and know that the biking trails are open and intermediate in difficulty.
