The Cochiti Lake Recreation Area is located in Pena Blanca, New Mexico near the Rio Grande and upstream from Albuquerque. This is a designated "quiet lake," so boat operators cannot get up to wake speeds, which make it a perfect environment for quiet water activities and a still lake surface. You can also go hiking and biking around the lake and enjoy some of the most pristine forestry to photograph. Since Albuquerque is so close by, visitors can look forward to local dining, shopping, exploration and the many activities and festivals that residents take advantage of daily. The Enchanted Moon RV Park is located in Valle Escondida, New Mexico and is a great spot for experience the best of New Mexico. The South Area Campground is located at the Storrie Lake State Park and is a popular site for outdoor activities and some serene lakeside relaxation. The area is also well-known for excellent fishing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, water skiing, caoneing and boating. The area can get hot, but look forward to crisp, fresh breezes off the lake, which keeps the temperature ideal for outdoor activities. Also be sure to be outside at dusk to catch one of New Mexico's iconic sunsets. The Riana Abiquiu Lake COE located on a scenic bluff overlooking the scenic Abiquiu Lake in northern New Mexico.
