A public boat launch is just across the street, and plentiful hunting opportunities can be found throughout the surrounding area. Miles of nearby hiking and biking trails invite you to explore the landscape, and beautiful Lake Sullivan is a short trip away. For a friendly match close to camp, the community's new pickleball court is just steps from your site, and back at the resort you can challenge your neighbors to a game of horseshoes. A convenience store with a gas station and several restaurants are also within easy walking distance, making it simple to stock up or enjoy a meal nearby.
Go underground at Gardner Cave, one of the longest limestone caves in Washington, located in Crawford State Park about 20 minutes from camp. Guided tours lead you past stalactites, stalagmites, and a towering column in the cool cave air, which makes a great break on a warm summer day. Tours are seasonal and require reservations, so plan ahead and bring a jacket.
The Pend Oreille River is also home to impressive dams, including Boundary Dam and Box Canyon Dam, just a short drive from camp. Take in the scale of the engineering, enjoy the scenery, and learn how these dams shaped the region.
After a day of adventure, return to Mt Linton Resort for a peaceful evening around the community fire pit, surrounded by the remarkable beauty of Metaline and northeastern Washington.
