About Glenrock

Glenrock, Wyoming Campgrounds and RV Parks

Situated along Interstate 25 between Douglas and Casper, the RV parks in Glenrock, Wyoming are the perfect option for folks interested in exploring the less-visited half of the state. Most of the visitors to Wyoming head straight for Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, but the areas east of Casper have plenty to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Indeed, this part of Wyoming is no stranger to visitors, as the Oregon Trail ran through here. To the south of the Glenrock, WY RV resorts and campgrounds are pine-filled mountains, large lakes teeming with fish and open to boating, and Ayres Natural Bridge Park which looks like it escaped from Utah. The North Platte River runs through the area and it is dotted with numerous other natural designations just off the interstate. Guernsey State Park is an area favorite and offers a diverse topography of chaparral scrub, limestone cliffs, and a large lake begging for exploration. North of Glenrock is Thunder Basin National Grassland which offers miles and miles of rolling prairieland, allowed to exist as it has looked for eons. This is big, open country, for sure. If you’re looking to get away from the usual crowds of campers, we certainly recommend this little nook of the “Equal Rights” State.
