About East-stroudsburg

East Stroudsburg RV parks and campgrounds are spread around this not-very-urban metro area — and there are many to choose from. This is prime territory for camping and just generally having a blast in nature.

Front and center is the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where Pennsylvania and New Jersey are split by the Delaware River. Thousands make their way here in the summer to enjoy the many waterways and the area is also popular for leaf peepin’ in the autumn. The nearby Worthington State Forest offers 26 miles of well-maintained hike and bike trails, as well as spots for fishing and whatever it is you like to do when recreating.

Other classic spots to explore around East Stroudsburg include Otter Lake and the fishing areas close to it, and Timothy Lake camping is a rite of passage for many folks who make their way here every summer to reconnect with seasonal friends. The nearby Bushkill Falls is just off of I-209 and is lovingly called “The Niagara of Pennsylvania.” It’s actually a series of eight falls on private property that cascade down the Appalachians, the tallest of which drops water from more than 100 feet.

If you’re around East Stroudsburg in the wintertime, head over to the Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. In the summer and fall, try a zip line tour or wander the quaint streets, shops, and restaurants of historic downtown.
