About Silver City

Silver City, New Mexico Campgrounds and RV Parks

Just east of the Arizona border, Silver City is tucked between two large swaths of a national forest, which contains peaks, mountains and some of the most gorgeous views in all the state. The small, charming city is tucked amongst mountains and desert that make it one of the most stunning places to visit. Like most cities in New Mexico, it has a violent history, but is still home to some geologic phenomenon, such as metamorphic schist and gneiss.

There are numerous Silver City RV Parks within the area to put up your wheels.

Gila National Forest is just over 3 million acres. Silver City is basically wrapped with the forest, to the north and to the west. With breathtaking mountains and ranges, Gila is the place to find some thrill out in the wilderness. It’s actually the first forest to have a wilderness – the Gila wilderness.

The summers are mild and the winters are warm, which allow this park to be enjoyed year round. After a day in the park, hop out to one of Silver City’s RV Parks – Rose Valley RV Ranch, Silver City RV Park & Self Storage or Manzano’s RV Park. Updated November 7, 2016
