Dodge City might be one of the most historical towns in Kansas. It is known as one of the most wild western frontier towns in the Old West. It is located in the high plains of the great plains region, flowing next to the Arkansas River. It sits on a large aquifer and is near a natural gas area. There is plenty to explore in this historical town, and after a wild day in the west head over to one of Dodge City’s campgrounds or RV Parks.

Dodge City is home to several parks – 21 to be exact. Wright Park is the largest, and it contains Wright Park Zoo. There are more than 126 animals in the park, with an animal from nearly every continent – there are birds, goats, eagles, owls, longhorns and even tigers. Almost 100,000 visitors stop through the park every year.If hitting the links is your thing, Dodge City has two golf courses. After a day exploring some of the parks head over to one of the best RV Parks in Kansas.
