About Cartersville

Cartersville, Georgia Campgrounds and RV Parks

Interstate 75 is one of the most travelled corridors in the country, as northern visitors travel south into Florida and Georgia to take advantage of the warmer weather. Cartersville is one of those small towns you see from the highway, but you might want to stop and spend some time there. It is a beautiful small town with a lake system nearby, as well as a national forest. Cartersville offers southern beauty at its finest. The city also has some of the best RV Parks in Georgia.

Northeast of Cartersville is the Chatahoochee National Forest. With miles of trails and breathtaking views of the mountains and hills, which take you past rolling hills and flowing waterfalls, it is one of the most enjoyable forests in the state. Take a trail up to Brasstown Bald, the highest elevation in Georgia – from there you can see for miles. A hike to Lake Nottely is a great place to stop and reflect, or to cast a line. When you are worn out, head over to one of Blairsville’s campgrounds or RV Parks.

Red Top Mountain State Park is just on the outskirts of the city. It offers nearly 2,000 acres of natural beauty. The park sits on a peninsula, so there are plenty of options for boating and fishing, as well as canoeing and kayaking.
