"Stayed for 2 nights. The manager there is very nice & accommodating. It's a very clean park for adults only & if you're 60 or older she only charges $22/night with FHU. The only negative is the freeway noise as it is right next to I-17. The park is small having only 36 sites but it has a pool & hot tub. The benefit of choosing a campground in this area is their proximity to nearby attractions in every direction. Camp Verde is within an easy day trip to gems like Humphreys Peak, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, and to the Phoenix metro area to the south. Folks who make the trip to Camp Verde love off-road adventures, zip line tours, and learning about the Native American heritage of the region. Check out Montezuma Castle National Monument where ancient Sinagua structures fill the crevasses in canyon walls hundreds of years before the Spaniards arrived in the area. Or, the nearby Out of Africa Wildlife Park offers a more interactive and engaging experience than a typical zoo.
