Canmore, Alberta is a wonderful place to go camping. You can't camp in the town, but you will find campsites  20 minutes out of town. There are also RV parks. Canmore is a little pricey for camping, but the surroundings are breathtaking and it's well worth the visit.

 

Campgrounds and RV parks in Canmore, Alberta are hard to find because there is no camping in town. The campsites outside of town are beautiful but expensive; they cost $32 per night for two people with one tent.

 

RV Park and Campground

 

The easiest place to get a campsite is at the Whyte Ski Trail RV Park. This park is located just a few minutes away from downtown Canmore. It's in a great location, but the fee is rather high at $32 per night.

 

There are other campsites in the area not far from the town; these campgrounds are more beautiful and cost less than those within Canmore. These camping sites only cost $24 per night for two people with one tent.

 

Art and culture in Canmore, Alberta

 

One of the most beautiful things about Campgrounds and RV parks in Canmore, Alberta is the surrounding environment. You can explore different trails, hike to waterfalls, and enjoy the wildlife. There is even a bird sanctuary in town.

 

There are a few museums you can explore while you're in town. The Brook Gallery was created by an artist who discovered an old brook while traveling through the Rocky Mountains. He decided to restore and create a display of his surroundings using various pieces of art. This gallery is located within Eau Claire Market inside of Canmore, Alberta.

 

Entertainment in Canmore, Alberta

 

Canmore offers a lot of entertainment for the entire family. You can enjoy the outdoors and visit wildlife, or you can stay within the town and visit one of the many pubs.

 

Some of these pubs include The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company, The Bear Street Tavern, and Blue Mountain Pizza Company. All of these bars offer great food and entertainment for the entire family. Another good thing about these pubs is that they offer various specials throughout the year such as crawfish in March or Oktoberfest in September/October.

Even though Canmore offers many pubs and restaurants, there aren't a lot of dining options for vegetarians. There are only a few vegetarian-friendly restaurants in town. The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company offers vegetarian chili and hummus, but this is the only restaurant in Canmore that has good vegan options.

 

Some of the other restaurants and pubs in the town have vegetarian selections but they aren't always great or creative options. The grocery stores have a few options, but you will have to drive downtown to pick them up.

 

Transportation in Canmore, Alberta

 

You can drive yourself to the campsites and RV parks, but you will need a car. If you want to go out and explore the surrounding scenery or visit one of the local pubs, you can rent a car in Canmore or use the town bus. This bus system is free and will take you just about anywhere in town.
