Not like the website portrayed. We were very disappointed. Place is run down and seedy looking. We were close to the highway and the area close to the water is ‘unavailable’ and very shabby looking.

I came in late, got told they couldn't get us a campsite. Just use Recreation.gov for camping. This was a waste of money. The other tells you your campsite before you get there.

Campground Response

Ethan, we apologize for this mishap. We have refunded your reservation. Safe Travels

They rejected us at our checking in at 7 p.m. because we're camping without a tent in our van. The man there said everybody needs a tent, it dosen't matter if you have a RV, Van or something like that. He also said, this information is in our reservation mail. There was no service so we couldn't check that. Later I checked the e-mail and the website but I can't find this information. We're so disappointed in this "Resort" because we were left alone and had to find something last minute. We will never comeback to this place!

If you are camping with tents, please avoid at all cost. We ended up looking and camped at a county Campground 15 minutes away. 1. Sites are not taken care off, firepit are collapsing, pinnic table are falling apart. 2. There are no shades whatsoever 3. Very close to other campsites, we are talking about inches apart. 4. Doesn't feel like a resort or a Campground. 5. Very expensive for what it's offers. 6. Beside the host, there's no employees maintenance the place and it's show. 7. Feel like primitive camping(not the price) 8. 2 stars cause they do have a full bathroom, but we didn't use. If you absolutely need a place to stay overnight in a RV, MAYBE but avoid at all cost!! And we are easy campers too 🤔

It is a nice, quiet park. The RV part in the back is clean except for dog poop all over.

Clean park. Nice greeting. Asked for front row with view, and was given #11. Day of arrival it was changed to #14. That took it from a good view to a club house view. Not happy about that but it seems that priority was given to 3 large class A's that must come often and have friends there. Then, to top it off, one of the A's was having problems with their hook up of their RV, and ran their engine all night long. If you like to have close neighbors, I could reach out the window and shanke hands with the Coach beside me, then this is the place. Its not worth the money to try for a view. Its not that good.

On the coast hidden gem. Often overlooked im sure, but great location to see estuary river and ocean. Affordable and just enough to enjoy some southern oregon coast out your front door life.

Old Park, Power on both 30 amp and 50 amp kept not working, needed to reset breakers on power stand every few hours at night. Nice people who live there full time. Needs updating. Good location but well over priced for what they have. No one picked up after their dogs, Will stay some other place next year. Stayed 3 nights in 41 Ft Fifth Wheel.

Adriana at the front desk was very good with the RV side of this place the camping areas that we had were good they need to haul some gravel or some sand In and fix the main road traveling in there for as much traffic as there is some other hook ups are a little outdated and they lock the bathroom at 10 o’clock at night but the guard didn’t look in to see if anybody was in there before he locked it and I justHear him so I told him that I was in there not to lock it yet he wanted to be a little lippy and said well it’s 10 o’clock and I said I know it is but I just got in here so why don’t you just wait a minute as for the overall view is great for where we were at I hope they tend to get in there in level some of The sites are starting to sink around the edge of the concrete pads clubhouse needs to be upgraded or least aired out kind of smells wore out inside there it was nice to be able to go in when the wind was blowing and still visit

We booked for Labor Day weekend and we loved it! We had an ocean front view, close to the clubhouse! We got to use the clubhouse, put a puzzle together while the guys played pool! It could use some TLC, but we would stay again. Only complaint is a lot of traffic through the park. Even picked blackberries while we were tgere!

Campground Response

Thank you for your nice review. It was a holiday weekend and our Park was busy. I hope you can return on a regular weekend and see just how quiet our park is.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My daughter and I were traveling up the coast line, tent camping. We pulled into this place and I automatically assumed I was at the wrong location. The place appears abandoned, completely run down, weeds overgrowing the "camp sites". No camp host in site. There was one bathroom facility off to the south side under a tree and buried in overgrowth - I am still not sure if that was part of the campground. Not a chance in hell I would have let my 20 year old daughter walk to that bathroom after dark! There is no fencing or protected entry to this place, ANYONE can walk or drive into this campground from any one of dozens of entrypoints. In this whole campground (easily 100 overgrown campsites) there were two "campers" who were obviously not "campers" but full time residents. If you are looking for a safe, welcoming campground, KEEP DRIVING! There is no way I would have slept in a tent at this campground. NOT A CHANCE. We kept driving up HWY 1 and stayed at Harris State Beach Campground for $20. Listen, my daughter and I are not princesses and we don't expect luxury when tent camping but we do want to feel safe. If anyone needs proof of my review, I took lots of photos!

The place is mostly an very old mobile home park, with lots of junk cars and trucks. The cable TV didn’t work and they didn’t have any one that could fix it. The WiFi was at a club house that I never saw. Cell service was poor in the area and there are no places to eat near by. On the good side, the one staff person at the check in was very nice and behind the place is an area on the icean that was filled with sea birds, harbor seals, and even a few River otters. If your RV is under 25 feet, stay near the water, if you can afford the higher price for that location.

Very Nice ! The Site We Got Was A Bit Tight, but it was a Great Stay. I understand you are Trying to fix up the Resort & Hope it gets done soon. We didn’t get the chance to use the Clubhouse or the laundry, but the stay was very comfortable and the Sealife was a Bonus : 4 Sea Otters and some Seals, but the Otters were KOOL, a couple Adults and a Couple Little Ones - nice to see the Otters Recouping

Yes, we would come back and stay here again! We were a little daunted by how narrow some of the sites were but we lucked out and there were only 3 trailers along the beach campsites. The staff at resort was extremely friendly and helpful. Overlooking the Smith River and having access to the beach is what made our stay so enjoyable. Easy drive to Brookings and many other beaches. Not sure if we would enjoy as much if all the sites were full.

Absolutely nothing like I expected. We were put at the front of the trailer park, yes that's what I said, the trailer park next to the main highway. The RV park and 'club house' was down by the river about 1/4 mile away. We weren't even close to either and had no view at all of either the ocean or river. To be sure to get that view or close to bathrooms or laundry room, I guess you will have to ask for it when you make reservations. We will not be staying there again.

Campground Response

Hello Brenda, each guest gets to choose where they would like to stay in our park. There is a map detailing where each site is located. When you booked you chose the pullthrus, which yes, it is close to the entrance of our park. There is always the option to be moved once you arrive pending availability and between those sites there is a price difference due to location. Our office staff is always willing to work with our guests so that they enjoy their stay and leave with a good experience. We have lots of people who enjoy each area of our park depending on personal preferencces and also budget, we apologize you are not one of those people and wish you much luck in your future endevours.

This was a great place to stay at when we stopped to see the redwoods. The River/ocean view from the beach camp sites was amazing. The weather was nice and cool, which was a refreshing break from the hot summer heat. The bathrooms and laundry rooms were clean. The people were very friendly, I definitely recommend this place to stay.

A funky, back to the 60's, vibe. Showers and restrooms clean. Great place to kayak and bird watch. Good value.

Great service by staff, easy to do business with. We were in spot #12 and could see the ocean and hear it all night, it was great.

Pros: easy pull thru. Cons: it is just a patch of uneven grass with hookups at the front of a very run down trailer park. The beach is small and not very pretty and you must walk thru the trailer park Finally. Very expensive. This should have been 20 per nite but was 70

Campground Response

Hello Curt, I would like to point out our pull- thru site fees for full hook up are $42.00 a night, which is what you paid. I am sorry it did not meet your liking, some prefer black top, which is not what we offer. We are a rural RV park located on the mouth of the Smith River.
