Welcome to Whitewater RV Park. We are located in Mountain View, Arkansas - the Folk Music Capital of the World. You will find our park quiet, being away from highway noise but conveniently located just a block from the Court Square and minutes from the nationally-known Ozark Folk Center. Enjoy the serenity of the nearby Whitewater Creek with a picturesque waterfall and stone amphitheater.

Enjoy the city park in our backyard with swingsets for kids, mature shade trees and picnic tables for adults, and a covered pavilion for instrumentalists. If you're a disc golfer, there's a disc golf course in that city park, as well as a walking track for exercise or an afternoon stroll.

The city park also has softball fields, tennis courts, a volleyball court, a public pool, and many other amenities.

If you're strictly coming for the music, join us in our picking shed (The Pickin' Place), gazebo (The Gathering Place), on our front porch swing, or out at our fire pit (The Pit).  The Pickin' Place is open to the public for playing and we're walking distance to the town square.

You can find Whitewater RV Park at 108 E Webb Street in Mountain View, AR. Our park has full hookups available for both 30 and 50 amp as well as electric-only tent and pop-up camper sites.

Mountain View, Arkansas is ALL ABOUT folk music, mostly from the 40's and 50's, but occasionally some other types of music slip in. Most people come for the music and gather around the town center (referred to as Town Square) which is the Stone County courthouse. There is also what the locals refer to as The Pickin' Park, but its official name is Washington Street Park.

You can often find locals (and visitors) gathered in circles of 3-6 or more with their instruments playing that good old folk music with guitars, banjos, mandolins, dobros, harmonicas, and even upright basses and more. On the weekends, you can often find live bands playing at the courthouse and many circles of people playing in the streets or at the picking park.

If folk music isn't your thing, we have world-class trout fishing just a few short miles away in the White River for all the anglers out there, and if you're more of a kayaking or canoeing person, be sure to check out Sylamore Creek and all its tributaries.

Should you be willing to drive about an hour, you can take a day trip to float the Buffalo River...what a day trip that would be!

Moving on from water activities, you may also find the wonders of nature interesting. Blanchard Springs Caverns offers several different cave exploration tours that are extremely interesting and a nice reprieve from spring rains and summer heat.

Experienced Mountain Bikers might enjoy the Syllamo Bike Trail which is almost a 50-mile loop through the ups and downs of the Ozark Mountains.

Among other things, Mountain View boasts a ropes course, two golf courses, horse trails, an escape room, and even a historic swinging bridge.

Last, but not least to be sure, would be our Ozark Folk Center State Park where you can go to check out the history of the music, crafts, and culture of the Ozark Mountains.

With a population of just under 3,000 people, Mountain View is small enough to still feel like Andy Griffith's Mayberry but large enough to still have a few stores and restaurants! Come stay with us at Whitewater RV Park and enjoy a glimpse of the past!

We have been going to White Water for 2 years now and absolutely LOVE it. The owners are amazing and the accommodations can’t be beat!! The location is just a short walk from downtown and a short drive to many outdoor activities.

We were regulars at Whitewater. Always enjoyed our stay there. Glad it is finally back open. Hope it's not to late to make reservations for the festivals and a few other w/end trips.
