Whether you want to visit the Magnolia Silos, Baylor University, or just enjoy a relaxed country setting, Waco RV Park is the place to stay. If you like large, beautiful trees and wide-open green space, you will love Waco RV Park. Cradled in its own pocket of undisturbed Texas landscape, with Shaw Creek circling its border, it offers the rare combination of country and convenience. We are a casual, inviting slice of nature all with full hookups for both 30 and 50 amps.
We are a small family-owned park. We host daily, short-term and longer-term campers. We are not fancy and don’t have some of the amenities that the big parks have, but if you want to enjoy your time here, you will.
From here it is only 8.8 miles and 13 minutes to the Magnolia Silos and downtown Waco; 7.3 miles and 8 minutes to McLane Stadium; and 7.9 miles and 10 minutes from Baylor University campus.
The beautiful sunset you see is at Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir, less than 4 miles away.
Our guests enjoy a large, beautiful covered Pavilion for individual relaxation or socializing with family and friends. The Pavilion is the perfect place for dinner or just forgetting the cares of the day. Our on-site laundry is available to our guests 24/7.
Our standard rates are: $37 daily; $230 weekly (7 nights); and $375 plus electricity (and refundable electricity deposit) The daily and weekly rates include electricity.
Rates may change depending on the number of campers or other circumstances at the time.
Depending on circumstances at the time we may require a 3 night minimum.
We look forward to seeing you!

The Waco area has a lot to see and do! Here are some of the local favorites and attractions in alphabetical order (except for the first one). As you can see, there is definitely something for everyone and probably more than you expected. (See the bottom of this page for transportation information if you don't want to drive and park in town).
Even though we are not in the city proper, public transportation is available for you through McLennan County Rural Transit. If you don't want to hassle with finding a parking space in town or have a large motorhome, you may be interested in it, especially if you know the particular places you want to see.

Campground Response
Stuart, wildflowers will be everywhere you look, but they are technically weeds. In order to keep the park maintained, we keep weeds at a minimum. You will see wildflowers along every highway and many other places without even trying. Enjoy your trip !

Campground Response
Erika, Thank you for your kind, unbiased review. We very are glad you enjoyed your stay with us despite the heat. It has been triple digits for weeks now, but we nearly always get a break and drop in temperatures around Sept 15. Most of the park has shade, but the pull-thrus are pretty open. We are considering whether to plant more trees where the pull-thrus are if they won't take up too much space. We hope to see you again ! Margaret Wilson Owner

Campground Response
Kyle, thank you for your kind review. Since our recent management change, most people are feeling the same way you are. Our park has vastly improved in every way under our new management, and we are delighted to be able to provide a quality experience for our campers. We hope to see you again.
Campground Response
Ms. Marsh, I believe this review is from you based on its timing, although for some strange reason there is no name attached to it. I am glad we were able to accommodate you and your sister at the last minute. I agree with some of your observations about the roads, and I am sorry if that was an inconvenience to you. While the road overall needs more gravel, we are glad that only a few places are muddy. Regardless, we will be regrading and adding base and gravel to the entire road when we catch a long enough break from the rain. We have had an unseasonably high amount of rainfall since October, and, due to the saturation of the soil, there is even some water still standing along highway 6 where you were traveling. We are a Mom and Pop park, and since Pop died last year, I am still trying to fill his shoes and see to the things he always took care of. I often fall short, but it is gradually getting better. I hope the next time you and your sister come through Waco you will stay with us again and see some much improved roads. Best wishes for you and your hotel. Margaret Wilson

Campground Response
Chad, thank you for your kind review. We are very happy that you have chosen to stay with us on a monthly basis. If we did have permanent residents, we would certainly want you to be one of them, but just to be clear for those who sometimes ask, we cannot accept reservations for longer than a month's stay at a time.
Jamey Matheny
Campground Response
Jamey and Peggy, We are sorry we could not meet your expectations. We made sure you received a maximum refund from Rover Pass and even paid to refund the booking fee, which is not usually part of the refund. We wish you the best in your travels.
Babs Gonzalez
Campground Response
Babs, thank you for your kind review, as well as your concern for my husband. He is doing well now. Although we do have guests who have chosen to stay with us on a monthly basis, we also host many like you who stay a week or two, as well as those who are traveling and need a place for only a couple of nights. We value all of you, so we are adding more space and new sites. We would love to have you here again. Maybe by then we will have the new space finished !
Sadie Miller
Campground Response
Sadie, please permit me to say a belated late thank you for your kind review of our park. I have never called it elegant, but we will surely accept the compliment !
