Nice and quiet place. We got a nice welcome from the owners. We stayed just one night, the site was clean and leveled. We did use neither their bathrooms, laundry, nor the restaurant. We certainly feel like coming back again. Roverpass go ahead and visit koa.com to figure out, what kind of questions you should ask and do not bother customers with stupidities. Next time I am call the RV park directly.

Stay here twice a year, but this year we got hooked into Roverpass for some reason on the computer. Not knowing any better we reserved thru the site - they charged us $10 extra for this. I'll call Van Horn RV direct next time and save me some money. Good park, won't hold them responsible for my ignorance - y'all call 'em direct.

The campground was fine, roverpass sucked. Charging me an additional 13.00 to make reservation. Van horn RV campground has had many issues with them and seemed underhanded that the van horn website took me to roverpass. They are trying to do something about it. Wish I had cancelled and called directly once I saw a charge to you. We have been rving full time and this was s first. Wry dissatisfied with rover Pass

We stayed on our way out to Arizona and on the way back. Great little park with mountains all around. Went to the cafe for dinner and had good food. My father said the catfish was some of the best he had ever had. My only complaint would be the people who do not pick up after their dogs!! We had to remove several piles from our site. I think this should be part of the check out procedure. If the last guest does not clean up, charge them a pet cleaning fee and clean the sites before the next guest comes in. The couple who run it are very kind and helpful! Will stay here again.

Very Convenient to 10 and sites were well planned We left early in the Morning so I especially enjoyed the Lights on to of the site markers! My wife enjoyed the Blonde Rooster that came over and visited our Site! Last but not least the Views of the Mountain and Sun Sets were spactular! The only thing keeping me from giving Van Horn RV a 5 star rating the RV park was a little Old and needed some up grades! Healthy & Happy Travels The Health Coach Couple Andrew & Gloria

This place was just what we needed for a mid trip break. While it’s not exactly a resort it had level sites, full hookups (each site I saw had two sewar hookups based on the size of your rig about 5 feet separated), cable which we didn’t use, Wi-Fi which was not so good, and nice dog park. It was pretty close to train tracks so we heard train horns before going to sleep but never woke to one (possibly because we use a sleep sound machine to drown out ambient noises). In all this was a decent place, nice staff, and what we needed.

Staff friendly (what I saw of them), facility run down, pool dirty, this RV was converted from KOA and went down hill, suggest staying on highway many more RV parks in area

Campground Response

We are very sorry this was your experience with us. The staff has alot of responsibilities and sometimes not always available in summer months. We slow down and don't have the size of staff we do in winter months here. The pool is cleaned everyday and sometimes we just cant control the dust here. The summer months is when we do our up keep, painting and any repairs. Please come back and let us prove to you. We are clean and quiet. We are one of the best parks in Van Horn Texas. Let us show you.

Nice clean park. Back from the road away from the road noise. Easy to enter or exit with a large RV and a tow car. Our site was level. Staff was friendly, pool was cold.

Very nice campground. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Check-in reception allowed for us to change sites upon check-in (Thank for that). Easy on/off access to I-10 making this a perfect overnighter if transiting the area. All sites were gravel, level and clean. Maneuvering the park was easy for a 25ft TT. Café was closed for the summer, but look pretty nice to grab a bite to eat. Bathhouse was very clean if a bit dated, but that is not a drawback in my book.
